Bulut needs to stay the fuck away from Sydney with his gang affiliations.

Few years ago he had amazing talent when representing Australia in the Under 19 Asian Cup was leading goal scorer and was great for the Under 17 National Team at the World Cup.

This guy had huge potential. Would have him at Melbourne.

He was charged with gang affiliations in sydney at the time he was carving it up at youth level. As a result he had visa trouble iirc and had trouble to get game time.

Would be a Krusesque type of pick up imo.

Robbie Kruse was a black sheep not a bad egg. Kruse just needed to lay off the pingers and beers, was already perfoming at a good level for a young player in the A League. This had more to do with being 1a teenager and earning too much money (for a young fella) playing professional sport without a real support system in place.

Bulut's issues appear to come from his personality and poor social choices. Pretty sure he never played part in an A League game while he was here either.

Kruse was essentially a low-risk, high-reward prospect. Bulut is high-risk, high-reward.
Its like comparing Judd and Cousins in AFL terms.

As had NTS, Beauchamp, Bridge, cole, Da'puzzo, Ono. Poppa has seemed to be able to turn around a few players but it seems younger lads haven't responded as well.

Maybe he has got his shit together? Who knows. We've already tried hipster knob heads, so why not give gang bangers a chance?

Even IF Bulut was to return to the HAL, he would never in a million years be allowed to move back to Sydney. He was likley facing jail time and had to beg for lenience and the fact that as a footballer he could have the chance of an alternative life, so he was granted an exception that his gang links could be pushed aside so long as he moved overseas in pursuit of his career.

Any return to Sydney and he'd likely have immediate legal repercussions. Perth or Wellington? Who knows, that may be far enough to be considered overseas.

Babalj for Juric seems far, far more likely. Very similar players, only Juric has some determination and Eli does not.

Wgat i do know with certainty is that if he has warrants in NSW for Amy of his previous indiscretions then a return to any state would see him arrested and returned to sydney. If he was given leniency from a judge then I would doubt he would return without first discussing it with his legal advisor. They would likely put a submission to the local senior detective explaining his intent and plan to stay away from his prior associated (though who he makes any submission to would depend on who originally gave him the pass).

As you say, WSW is an unlikely destination. Perth and Nux are both looking good as is. I wonder however is Kuzmanovski and santalab are a good solution to the juric conundrum. Santalab can clearly score and Kuz looks to have the goods even in these very early stages of his career (an assumption based entirely on his 8 minutes on the park so take that as you will)

There's no denying the kid had amazing talent when he was playing for the Young Socceroos but 2 goals in his senior career, and zero in his 22 games at his last two clubs according to Wiki.... I hope he fulfills some of his talent but certainly not holding his breath.

Personally, I don't mind if he goes back to WSW. He's an adult now and if he can't even live in Sydney without partaking in gang activity then he certainly doesn't have the temperament to be a successful footballer. Might as well get found out and locked up. I personally have a bit more faith in people's ability to mature.

THE Wanderers have signed controversial striker Kerem Bulut, while Newcastle Jets defender Sam Gallaway has also joined the Western Sydney club.
Bulut, who was born in Sydney’s west, has been playing in Turkey for the last two years, but the 22-year-old hasn’t had much game time over the last few months.

Such a waste signing for MAYBE 6 games, assuming he doesnt get rotated out/benched behind Santa, Juric, Ruka, Bridge. Theyve also got thay young fella who has been coming off the bench right? WSW should be worries anout signing players to help them win A League gamea before they worry about the ACL.

We are signing players for ACL and beyond, while looking to fit some players into the new A-League squad for the rest of the season by sacking some.

Out of our players I'd look at chopping:
Adeleke (Yusuke), Saba (Rumoured Japanese Midfielder), Mullen (Gallaway), Trifiro (Baccus), Appiah (Kalmar).

If Juric leaves then we've got the space back for Santalab.

Maybe Haliti will leave as well, leaving space for Gol Gol.
