If UAE sit back and defend Timmy's going to have a field day.
IF UAE decide they want to play then it's going to be tough. I reckon Timmy is licking his lips. I smell a hat-trick. I reckon they will be wearing him like a moccasin, which of course means more space for Leckie and Kruse. Agree can see Kruse having a field day. We should beat them.

We always say this on our forum "that we'll beat them easily" and it never eventuates
They just beat Japan. By scoring an early goal (one of the best of the tournament in regards to distance and angle) against a lethargic Japan who hadn't rotated any players. -PB Yes but that could easily happen to us. We have a habit of conceding early and having to chase the match. We also started poorly in the last game and should've been two behind at half time. We got lucky. I hope we pump them 5-0 but it'll be close and tense. It always is. We never do it easy. All of Ange's teams start slowly in the opening 20minutes or so, i don't know why. Roar, Victory, Socceroos. It will be a big opportunity missed if we do not beat UAE. Going into this tournament if someone said our Semi Final is against the UAE and the final is against Korea or Iraq I would have taken that without thinking twice.

1 dimensional and should be able to shut them down, unlike Japan who can beat you a number of ways. But they are good and are a worthy semi finalist make no doubt about.

Japan missed 3-4 headers from point blank.

There'll be a melt down if we don't beat them. Japan had easily enough chances to put 4-5 (maybe more) away, and they were poor by their standards. If we can remove the nervous start we could see another repeat of the 2011 semi final score line.

I was at the game tonight, and the UAE seemed to be in the same gear all night. Only their forwards seemed to tire, but they were able to soak up a lot of pressure for long periods. The Socceroos will need to score first.

Anything can happen in football, we didn't expect it tonight thats for sure, but if we play to our full potential and with a bit of luck we will win.

If UAE score early, it going to be tough night. We can't miss our chances, that what killed japan. It was like AUS v S. Korea, if we took our chances we would have won, but we wasted them. Its about being clincial with our chances and getting shots on target, that keeper like to punch the ball so we have to be ready for the second ball.

Aside from Cahill's goals, was the Socceroos performance good enough to beat UAE?
