Thanks for any help.
Edited by Dan_The_Red: 26/3/2015 07:39:38 AM I've done a basic unit in Negligence cases. Which I did pretty well in, we covered damages relating to defamation of character. Basically to claim anything you have to prove its caused damage to you in some sort of way, financial or psychological (and even then it can be financial damage to you if you needed therapy).. You could find out if its possible by looking online at previous law cases, need to relate to another case (precedence in law cases) etc Big Company's like Google or Microsoft have cases in law because defamation of brand names etc can affect the company's earning capacity, etc this is why they take them to court and sue for damages related to loss of income.. its not different with an individual you just need to have a reason that stands up in law. Basically you need to prove it has caused substantial damage to you and has been proven to cause this damage previously in a court of law (has precedence).
