If he didn't get himself sent off so ridiculously he may have actually won something for the first time in his career.

A shame, but always seemed likely. Having a striker of his quality as an option off the bench has been great for us.

A few whispers around the traps saying Smeltz could be leaving Sydney soon. Has agreed with a Asian club (believed to be Malaysian) and could be worth up to 4 x his contract at Sydney.

I know he wouldn't be happy at the game time he's received this season, but when he was on the park for us he was absolutely superb and I'd be upset to lose such quality especially if we don't end up re-signing Janko (which I'm praying to every god there is that we do re-sign him).

Either way, we might be in the market for a new striker/s come the offseason.
