He played almost 40 games for us, he was just awful. Good. He was very decent for us before he went north, and he's been pretty decent for us since since he returned. Howd he work out in the granny for ya? He was fine until he got that head knock and played the rest of the game concussed.

Since Golec's gone to Perth, I'm guessing it's Anderson.
For the first time, but certainly not the last, I began to believe that Arsenals moods and fortunes somehow reflected my own. - Hornby

Golec has been released by the wankers. Could he be on the way to United?

Boogaard has improved immensely under Gombau, Anderson certainly can do the same Watch out for Boogs getting back to his old form when he plays for the Jerks
He was a man of specific quirks. He believed that all meals should be earned through physical effort. He also contended, zealously like a drunk with a political point, that the third dimension would not be possible if it werent for the existence of water.

RedKat wrote:Jurman is 25 and has probably won another contract with the form he and Faty have shown as a central partnership. Also not exactly a ball playing defender.
Golec is 24 and off to Perth from all accounts, and again not the player you'd think Gombau would want.
Anderson fits the age but isnt very good. I thought Golec was already dumped by Gombau as not being a ball playing centre back. Likewise with Jurman, he didn't get much of a run with Brisbane Roar for his lack of ability on the ball. Doubt it would either of those, unless Gomabu has decided to add some spine (muscle).

Was only made to look competent by how awful Bosnar is. TBH I find him as useful as NTS was before his increased form at WSW.

He did confirm he was leaving WSW last week. He's off to Perth Glory, isn't he? more than likely, but haven't seen it confirmed yet.

Would be disappointed to lose him. He's been good for us this season. Jurman is 25. I never really paid much attention to Anderson when he was at Mariners, how good is he and how would he do at Adelaide? He seems to struggle with his ball-playing. But is quite strong as an old-school type stopper.

According to Stuckey of We Are The Reds, there are rumours circulating that AU have signed a 24 yo central defender as a replacement for Nigel Boogaard. One player I can think of who fits this description and would be cheap enough for Adelaide (free) is Zac Anderson, who I saw being linked with Adelaide online recently.
