It's Val... But Adelaide with a world class striker would be frightening.

This would be awesome...might be 37 but is still equal 2nd top scorer in the Serie A this season (correct me if Im wrong) and has played the most out of any player from H. Verona

Especially ife we do lose Scorey and Smeltz. I think he'd work well under Arnold.

Toni would be a very interesting acquisition for an A-League club, however his age is a bit of a worry. Del Piero at times for the A-League to shame, but he was found out big times in other areas. Would it be worth the ganble? I'm all for the big names in the A-League. The more the merrier I say. It'd be another good shot in the arm for the A-League as a whole. I know it's Val and his reporting is shoddy at the best of times, but when he speaks of Del Piero playing in front of 30k fans at Coopers, is he talking about combined figures, because Coopers doesn't hold 30k.

Was going ok in Serie A. Sounds good.
Pirlo is like Totti, he'll play at elite level for ever. Production never drops off. Samaras (there's a couple), if it's Georgios I'd be surprised if he hasn't been sound out previously with his Aussie connections.

Samaras has an Australian passport. So he could be an Australian marquee. Same time he is a +1 for any Asian team so I doubt an A-League team could afford him.
Melbourne City should make a play for him. They would get greek Australian fans and some Celtic fans coming to games. With success it could be quite a good fan recruitment campaign for them. He is much more high profile than Kennedy.

There's just the issue of fitting Chelo into the salary cap.

Val will push hard for any Italian connection to come into AU. He has a point as there is a strong Italian community here but I don't reckon it's likely we'll sign Toni.
