Only major outs I can think of are Italiano, Genreu and Arzani.
Anyone else I’m forgetting?

Looking back on our overall performances during the AFC U16 tournament I'm pretty content with our showings. Consistency at youth level and especially U16's is so varied, so to get to the WC is a bonus for us to further improve our stocks. Tajikistan getting to the final really says a lot about how inconsistent youth football is.
Things that I enjoyed about watching this team: - Their (mostly) awareness when receiving balls into feet seemed quicker and the adjustments of body use under pressure. - Individual technique, crossing, passing and running with the ball seemed cleaner and quicker than in previous teams. - More focus on the 'one-two' which made it difficult for some teams to defend.
Area's of concern - Individual physical conditioning compared to some opponents (comes down to preparation) - Shooting (finishing)
The above should naturally improve as they enter the professional sphere.
Bests: Botic, Pavlesic, Kirdar.
Again, over the moon about qualifying for the U17WC, a good opportunity for these guys to showcase themselves to the world.

+x+xThis is quite rare isn't it? Good to see we have put losing to 3rd-rate Asian youth teams behind us for now. Losing to Japan in a semi is nothing to be ashamed of. Your right. I also dont think we have the depth that say a japan would have which does make these later games more difficult. Not easy to play 4 games in 12 days. Credit to the boys for getting to the WC which was the main goal. I just hope that the FFA can bring these lad together more often. The Joeys also missed Kirdar and Walsh at the back, Sepping i don't think hes up to international standard as he struggled on the left side of midfield when Japan pressed us but Kirdar would have been handy yesterday with his movement and his excellent technical ability in fact he and Varga combined very well in Australia's win against Indonesia and so he was definitely a big loss yesterday as they struggled to play through midfield without him. Anyway with more work in more international games and preparation and bigger depth of players i think these boys can do well in the global stage next year. Its great the curriculum is starting to deliver some promising young talent now, now they need more international exposure so they can develop even faster if we want to go into the next level. Young Socceroos next now!

Comparing that with the fact that South Korea lost to Tajikistan in the other match, and it just serves to prove that youth results are a) wildly inconsistent and b) not a complete barometer for future national team success. The important thing was to qualify for the U17 World Cup which we have done, so the performance review of this tournament should be 'satisfactory' in my humble opinion. Obviously work to be done, but they're still teenagers - they're going to be raw and be inconsistent.

Menawhile Tajikistan beat South Korea on penalties to reach the final. South Korean curriculum should be ripped up and any foreign coach should be thrown out of the country.

+xLol running around like headless chooks. The Australian way. Tbf, that is exactly what our teams have done when they get tactically out played. Lose organisation, get desperate and then the ugly technique/skill rears its head. Resorting to the only sport we know, AFL ! err Rugby ?

Japan did there homework on us, credit to them.
Australia struggled to play through midfield unlike in previous game where there build up play, even then they could not do it enough throughout the game as Japan's pressing traps were excellently disguised and most cases the aussie fell for it or launched it long in safety.
Regardless the lads showed some nice play throughout this tournament even with the limited preparation they showed that we are continually improving technically and staying committed to the playing style which is good progress but we need to do more if we want to win this tournament one day i suspect stronger preparation and better lead up games is the key in perfecting there style.
Contrast to Japan where their preparation level is far greater and it showed in there performance, hope the FFA give the Joeys the resources and games needed to make an impact at the world cup next year.
The players that impressed me the most were, Pavlesic, Courtney, Teague, Kirdar, Varga, Duzel, Hammond and Botic

+x+xThats tired defending from Courtney!! why are we so unfit though hahaha everyone honestly looks stuffed, and the japs just look like they're as fresh as daisy's... I thought the commentator said that Japan brought 7 fresh players into this game. ahh ok I didn't have the sound on in the first half... still don't think we saw Benson, Zervas, Boke or Stokes for much of the tournament if at all.

When your chasing shadows for 70minutes you would be stuffed to. I did here in the comments that 7 changes were made to the Japanese squad from there last game. Just shows the depth they have. edited
