Aussie keeper finally gets his first touch (63rd min) and the ball almost makes its way legally into the penalty area

Thought both brooks and italiano were quality particularly being 13. would like to see what they will bring against a more competitive side.

Shoot farken
By now, American Samoa must have realised that Australias 22-0 win over Tonga two days earlier was no fluke.

I muted the commentary at half-time. Listening to the Vietnamese commentary (three word vocabulary) was giving me ebola.

we dont need to play this fast, just control the tempo and be a bit more patient.

good result, some very nice touches and players comfortable on the ball. Still lots of areas for improvement too which is a good thing at this stage.

Another disallowed goal both looked fair to me
the decision making wasnt a big improvement from previous years but better technique and less unforced errors for the first time finish was ok but still i think this is a weak point

Poor second half but i suspect they took the foot of the pedal a bit considering the game was over at HT.
Interesting to see how they go against a stronger opponent next game.

Second half was fucked. Literally passed to the Cambodians. 4-0 win makes me happy.

FT 4:0
Seems like this side sorely lacks a Brattan or Antonis like player, someone with patience who knows how to dictate tempo, redirect play, and stretch the opposition while controlling midfield. Also some very poor passing at times out of pure carelessness rather than the state of the pitch. Against higher quality opposition I can see us getting shredded on the counter. However in saying that its their first game, they showed some good signs, and still plenty of time to improve.

nothing that can't easily be improved over time. I thought the players won the ball back a lot better than the previous group. Second half we weren't playing as a team terribly well. The players need to be a bit more patient with the ball, seemed a bit to eager to play it forward at all costs. The last goal was wonderfully constructed and should be the type of football the group needs to play.

The patience should come with time. The important thing will be how they move the ball and their technique.
