I have to say this squad is rather underwhelming. Only genuinely excited by Ruiz Díaz and Tilio. 

looks like been a very busy time for the underage aussies ,15s,17s and now the 20s all either going to camps or tournaments.

He'll be se;lected for the actual Championships. but he wont be coming for this camp alone.

5 keepers in a squad of 31 is odd.

you'd assume they will chop it down to 3 when it goes to 21 or 23. 

Kelly and a battle between Lee/Hunter most likely will miss out for the finalised squad.

Noah James has been an absolute rock for Newcastle this season in NPL. he had a run of 5 weeks in the TOTW.

I think pavlesic is better than the bottom 3. Likely Park, James and Pavlesic going forward.

the front 4 surely will be Roberts, ianucci and tilio on the wings with diaz in the middle.
Not sure who to start at the back.

Yeah definitely chuck Pavlesic in at any opportunity.

Not sure whats going to happen with the Euro based lads with the official squad. I think we can do well enough with a largely local based team. There is enough talent there.

Good luck to the new group, with GVE it will be a 4-2-3-1 unlike Milicic’s 4-3-3 so it will interesting of what kind of team it will be.

The attacking areas look promising with Tilio, McCathy, Iannuci and Roberts.

And Brook, Ruiz Diaz, Monge, Barnett and Popovic junior as midfielders options.

As mentioned above not sure about the defenders although Talbot and Fay are decent full back options.

I watched the Bonyrigg v Mariners NPL game a few days ago and there was a young kid in the midfield (number 12) having a cracking game for the Mariners. I don't know his surname, but the team mates were calling him Joey. I don't see any Joey or Joseph on the list, anyone know anything about him? Seems a shame kids like him miss out on these camps. Maybe he's too young?

Yeah look it seems there is a lot of talent out there which is good, like you said unless his too young.

The Mariners have been poor in the academy ranks, both Ruiz Diaz and Katsoulis are not from the academy until recently so they have to better unlike Sydney fc and WSW, although it’s hard when the best talents go down south but they need to do better.
1 player was selected from the u15 Joeys camp although as a backup.

But this u20 team has got some decent players, hopefully they can mould into a decent side this time around.

By the way which players overseas are worth considering for this cohort?

Like this last group of u19s this group also has solid attackers and midfielders but it seems we are bit light at the back and even up front, hopefully we see more names emerge that can fill those areas.

I like the look of Mitch Graham for City as well, very composed on the ball, quite tall, bit quick as well. Reminds me of a Sainsbury.

Will be interesting to see how the teams adapt to the weather, essentially going from Canberra cold to the high 30s. Another thing that will be interesting is the Young Socceroos fitness compared to the other teams, imagine some of the lads will only have 3-4 weeks of training behind them because first team environments are now just starting to get into groove.

Quite like Mitch too. City have a few boys who could be big players in this team.
