Yeah, i watched it. Very messy game, but thats to be expected with a squad assembled not 3 days prior. Pretty interesting that the coach of Utrecht U21's is former Phoenix coach Darije Kalezic, and they are languishing in second last in the Eerste divisie.

+x2-2 against Netherlands u21. Anyone know if there's a replay? It was Netherlands' u19 team and Xavi Simmons started for them. Ryan Teague and Alou Koul scored for Australia according to twitter: https://twitter.com/iammusie/status/1507327674812801026

Like I said in the other thread, Morgan is a great short term solution for Australia N.T. Knows all the prospects u23 and has a decent record.

Not sure if this has been mentioned in other threads but Olyroos games for U/23 Asian Cup in June directly clash with the Socceroos world cup playoffs against UAE (and maybe Peru). Olyroos group games are 1,4,7 June, game against UAE is 7 June. So Olyroos will be missing a lot of their first choice squad. Thankfully the 2022 tournament are not the qualifiers for the Olympics. Will be interesting how this affects selections. We have a bit of depth but not that much

This thread has kept well so I hope we can use it for the U23 Asian cup. Only a month away. Have been away from national teams for a bit for sanity.
What's the squad going to look like? I hope we get the absolute best out there. The Roos games will clash so unfortunately that means some younger ones might be put into the Olyroos making way for less desirables for the Roos.
Cut off is Jan 1, 99.
I'm really looking forward to seeing Folami and Iredale link up. I think Metcalfe will get in. I can see Tilio and maybe JRB in Qatar. God forbid Atkinson does this and we get Grant and Karacic. A lot from the talent camps too. I'm not even going to attempt naming this squad but it's an interesting bunch.

We’ll likely pick an Olympic-age eligible squad (2001 and younger) based on the squad chosen for the qualifiers. Could end up with something like this: Bilokapic (02) Aquilina (01) Grdic (02) Circati (03) Farrell (02) Gomulka (01) Brook (01) Tilio (01) Kuol (04) Kuol (01) Toure (04)

Hopefully, they go for a team that can play in the next Olympics so they can build a proper squad and chemistry over the next 3 years or so. Would also love to see Circati and Volpato in the squad but that seems unlikely. Keen to see maybe irankunda and Garang maybe in the squad. Would really give those two some extreme exposure especially if Australia ends up going far into the tournament.
