This is a great opportunity. It's almost overwhelming tracking all of our players and checking who is eligible for which squad. Some can advance up the Roos while also being eligible for lower ages. 

The Joeys have the Asian Cup in Thailand in June yet to be drawn. 

As part of the nine-day camp, the Olyroos will play two friendly matches against quality opposition in the form of the Switzerland U-20 national team in Bellinzona, Switzerland on Friday, 24 March (7.00pm local time) and Serie B outfit, Como 1907 (venue TBC) on Monday, 27 March (3.00pm local).

Had Switzerland not scored you might say it was fairly level. Remember the first half NZ away? Tonnes worse than that. 

1:0 to Switzerland it ends. Hope the lack of time together as a group is the reason because that was absolutely terrible. Zero cohesion and no evidence of any system or tactical plan.

Clearly an issue with the younger teams but is tgat a function of not participating in junior tournaments for the past few years? Also, not being able to adapt outside of the club approach?

I hope Nieuwenhof was at least half-decent.

Nieuwenhof showed probably less than 10% of his current form. It was just so lacklustre. Like they'd just gotten off the plane.

It was basically going through the motions with no vigour to score and very little movement or creativity. I hope the next game is better.

Did everyone play including the bench? I noticed from the report not everyone got game time out there.

With the depth of talent we now have, it would be a disastrous lost opportunity for us not to make the olympics next year.
