Their output has been better than the last two and they are missing their best players

Even still they are choking the first 3 halves of football missing gettable chances

If The Olympics are so great and important than the better players should have spoken to their clubs years ago to try and come to and arrangement. We got zero of that cohort. Sure, the clubs could block it on a whim but better liaising and consideration might have gotten some of them. Olympic football is seen as a nuisance by clubs. I remember Ferguson was livid about his players being asked for it.

FFS Velupillay way too heavy there. I don't mind him but today he's been really drab.

A lot of the players are injured. Circati is barely in the Australian system, only joined last year and Irankunda is mutual agreement which was stupid. Volpato has never played for Australia only would possibly for the Olympics.

Toure's shooting is truly shocking. Can get in good positions but yikes he has no fluidity at all

They truly are injured. I wouldn't mind knowing how considered some of the players had been for the squad. Tilio withdrew. Not sure whether D'Arrigo would save us but he has so much experience in this side. Botic, Peupion and Yazbek in particular would have been useful. I believe in this bunch but this doesn't look good as it stands. Lift!

Triantis recently moved clubs so can hardly get years of admission in advance. If he were still at Sunderland than yes he probably would be here. Yazbek doesn't make much of a difference in this team imo.

Plenty of foreign based and A national team members in this Indonesia squad. Are their clubs just more lenient? They care so much for their national growth. Baggott is still in Bristol but otherwise it's a very strong side. Our Euro based players are scrap for their clubs.

Depressing thing is that if we cant get euro players we cannot get better than this other than getting better coaching. 

Using fotmob rating this squad would win the a league. 

But if these players were better they would already be in europe and we cant get euro players. So unless the salary cap lifts to improve the standard of the a league this is our ceiling bar coaching 

Crucial for australia to invest in a better coach

They don't play for their European clubs, that's why their clubs don't care. Similar to Mo Toure and Garang in Europe. The Indonesian league postponed i believe so they could release all their players.

Coaching would be massive and team selection. But even adding Irankunda would triple our ceiling by himself. 

Brook is such a poor player, I wouldn't have selected him. 

Its a good question tho sk and japan had issues too

The amount of times the ball went to the keeper only for us to spend 5 seconds before we realize we need to press him to stop him time wasting

Attention to detail is crucial at this level. Not marking for the goal is detail

He is a stanout a league player which is as good as we can hope for indefinitely

Ffs this game is over. We are going to need Jordan to beat Qatar and then beat Indonesia and us to beat Qatar. We are realistically not making it out of the group.

He has scored some tap ins and a few flukish goals tbh. I've watched him play a lot. He is alright but he isn't a positive player when you need something.

This reminds me of the socceroos in the 90s looked really promising in friendlies and min tournaments but then sooo naive it clutch matches

Vidmar is very unassuming person, he doesn't emit confidence. He just seems unsure, similar to like a Carl Veart. You need coaches with charisma and strong personalities that can rally players, not coaches were un-assure about their own emotions.
