There were several requests from Roar fans to keep them altogether and, apart from a few whingers who want to pretend it's all over, the feedback has approved of having a one-stop shop for the Bakrie trainwreck.

I could have just as easily posted them in the 'All Hail Aloisi' but didn't.

Buggalugs is fine, dont always agree with him but he has a good sense of humor. As long as it facts and articles i dont see a problem with it, nothing wrong with banter from other clubs fans in here as well. Just take it and learn to give it when the time is right, what goes around comes around etc. I appreciate Buggalugs has kept it all in here and not used the official Roar supporters page.

See at least this bloke can Bantz.

Bantz is fine but when certain mods block the number of Vic threads to minimize the "bantz" but do nothing when thread after thread had been posted on similar Roar bantz when this came out says something. Thankfully there are some with balls that call them out.

BTW I don't mind bugs either. I responded to limp wrist who reckons that tards only bantz the way you do because of paulc when in fact the jerk circle can't help themselves no matter the circumstances. Again to that, you lot are funny

You can add Perth in there as well

CCM 5,754
PG 5,283
BR 5,121
WP 4,023

You really need to factor in how many types of memberhips each club has, Brisbane only had full memberships up until recently while the other clubs have about 5 different types etc.

Also we know the NIx memberships would go up just because of the threat from the FFA.

Quote:
LONG-time Bakrie Group football executive Rahim Soekasah is set to be appointed Brisbane Roar’s new chairman, with the club’s Chris Fong era to officially come to an end.

Fong has been chairman by name and nothing else in recent months as club owner Nirwan Bakrie finalises plans to revive the Roar and appoint a new board.

Having completed his audit of the club, Bakrie is understood to have decided to appoint three directors – new chairman Soekasah, Demis Djamoeddin and Dali Tahir, who will retain his sport on the board.

Soekasah and Djamoeddin, who spent several weeks in Brisbane before returning to Indonesia last month to report to Bakrie, are expected to base themselves in Queensland permanently.

Djamoeddin could be back in Brisbane in time for the Roar’s clash with Perth Glory at Suncorp Stadium on Sunday.

The Roar are also close to finalising their advisory board, which will focus on the club’s legal, accounting and government dealings.

Bullet Point Story

- The Indonesian Government has tried to sort out the Corruption in their top League. (match fixing, dead players etc)
- (Irony alert) FIFA don't like governments interfering with Football so have banned the whole country
- Indonesia is currently banned from all International Football (for 6 months now)
- There are 2 problem Clubs that are at the centre of the Corruption drama

- No prizes for guessing who owns one of them

Latest developments

Quote:
JAKARTA - Indonesian President Joko Widodo on Monday met Fifa officials in Jakarta for crisis talks nearly six months after football's governing body banned his country from international competition.

Indonesia's football team was banned from international competition after the government attempted to replace the country's football association at the height of a long-running feud

Indonesia was suspended in May after the government attempted to replace the country's football association, known as the PSSI, at the height of a long-running feud.

The government insisted that taking on the PSSI, which has long been dogged by allegations of corruption and mismanagement, was a necessary step to clean up Indonesian football, which has for years been beset by crises.

Fifa responded by suspending the PSSI and banning Indonesia from all international competitions organised by Fifa and the Asian Football Confederation, one of six regional federations that make up the world football body.

Widodo, hosting the Fifa meeting at the state palace, announced he would form a task force to quickly end the impasse.

"I conveyed to the delegation... that we want to get a solution immediately and to form a task force which will communicate continuously with Fifa," Widodo told reporters.

"They were happy to see there was no flexing of muscles and that we wanted a solution, too."

The row erupted in April when the PSSI, disagreeing with the country's sports ministry over the participation of two clubs, halted Indonesia's top league.

The ministry responded by freezing all PSSI activities and setting up a transitional body to begin replacing the association.

Fifa, which disapproves of political interference in domestic associations, backed the PSSI, which insisted it remained in charge of football in Indonesia.

The six-man Fifa delegation also met Monday with Sports Minister Imam Nahrawi and PSSI officials to discuss resolving the stalemate.

Nahrawi said the meeting was "very valuable" and the visitors offered a "very friendly and constructive response".

"The government is very concerned about reforming Indonesian football," he told reporters.

"There have been clear indications, and in fact confessions, about match-fixing, gambling, delayed salary payments and clubs flouting Fifa statutes relating to financial transparency, taxes and rules."

A press conference by Fifa is expected on Tuesday.

After going on the longest unbeaten streak this country has seen, the club is below CCM in members. How fickle is Brisbane? Fold the club and move it to somewhere that actually appreciates football. People like PaulC should be ashamed for sticking up for such an embarrassment of a club.
