So Tuesday in Dushanbe will be 32 degrees and sunny. 29% humidity and no chance of rain.

I reckon this will help the Tajiks.

During the day.. it will be around 18 degrees when we kick off.

Weather won't play any role and if we are looking for an excuse due to weather that is piss weak. It was actually warmer by kick off for our night matches at the Asian Cup than it will be in Dushanbe.

If we lost to Tajikistan in any situation it would be an embarrassment. I was just wanting to get this thread back to football and not geography. My line of thinking was the transition from eurpe to more or less middle eastern conditions.

It will be 28 degrees and sunny at kick-off, but will cool as the match goes on. Also low humidity helps.

theselectfew, i see your point, wasn't having a go at you as you normally post quality info o:)

u44 you are correct actually, i for some reason thought kick off would be 8pm local time. Point still stands on weather, we complain about it being too hot or too cold, somewhat annoying.

Im 50/50 shit talk. Even i admit that mate ;)

I thought Luongo had a bad game by his standerds, otherwise it was quite a professional game by the Socceroos.

here is the game if any one is interested.

Yeah, apart from his involvement in the first goal, he was fairly average.

Also, did anyone else notice that Luongo seemed a bit weird in the post match interview?

Russia's capital and most of its population live in Europe. It is a European country.

This all kicked off, because this guy couldn't work out why middle eastern and sub-continent countries were in Asia.

They are MORE Asian than us because they are ACTUALLY in Asia.

We're lucky to be allowed to play in their confederation as is Israel in Europe.

same same but different. we aren't committing war crimes every day to pacific nations (although our piss poor attitude towards the environment will probably be judged just as harshly in 50 years time)

oceania is a bit of a joke. it's a bit rough to have 2 potential top 50 teams in a conference that will never see a world cup.

yes, yes and yes. but i wasnt talking about "asia". i was talking about the piss poor attitude and sense of entitlement that the majority of australians have about the environment.

asia is a pretty big place. it's a bit retarded to talk about what 'asian' people do as a means to describe the behaviours of over 4 billion people across 50 something countries over 45 million square kilometres.

Ange may stick with 3-5-2 for this match. When he opts in the near future for a 4-3-3 formation, all the stars being available, Jedi, Troisi, Juric and Burns may not make the starting side. That is wonderful depth.
Hard to keep Luongo, Rogic, Mooy and Kruse out. Socceroos have the talent to switch to a different dynamic in a heart beat. That's some serious coaching. Interesting when they play a heavyweight soon enough.

It's pretty, um, "retarded" , to use any generally meaningless demonym to attempt to stereotype the views and attitudes of a group of people, be that "Asian," "Australian," or anything else.

I don't think there's a circumstance in which a fit and available Jedinak doesn't play, especially not against a side which could dominate possession against us. Against a top European or South American team, I don't imagine Mooy would be able to build an influence on the game, for example. A midfield trio of Jedi, Milligan and Luongo might work, though.

Like to see a 3-5-2 formation, hate to see Cahill left posted alone up front. I noticed Leckie hair, he reminds me of the taller guy with the mo from the back street boys. Kool  Hearing Spira's in.

Man flu is serious. Spira could be out for six weeks.

As far as the team worrying about the artificial turf, I think it may suit us because the roll of the ball and bounce is true in contrast to the minefield that we played on in Kyrgyzstan, where we struggled to maintain possession at times.

I'd say 3 changes would be a change to each line, but I'm thinking more likely it'll be two changes:

I think Behich might come in for Davidson / or McGowan in for Elrich (just to change it up, Elrich has got the RB spot nailed I reckon)
Rogic could be replaced by Cahill, with the formation switched to a 4-3-3 - Milligan in behind Luongo and Mooy, Burns, Cahill, Leckie up front.

Brattan may come off the bench to make his debut.
