AT his Belgium club he was just used to avoid relegation and got played less when they were safe , thats because he was on loan, and the club are interested in selling the players they have on contract not in a loan player. Now moving to the Middle East when he is going to be at his absolute peak thats another dumb move. I think he is sluggish in the heat and prone to slacking off, they will get tired of him then back to the A-league at 30.
Troisi knocked back a big money contract in the middle east to sign with juventus/ atalanta. It is that contract which is now holding him back, juventus dont want to pay his wage but wont let him go to a club on a free transfer.

Haha that is his career, you pelican! Money is what it's all about. Don't be fooled into thinking he chose football for your sake. It's something he loves doing and can get paid a lot doing it.

Even if they do contracts in Euro's I am guessing most would want to be cutting costs and not want to take a risk on a player who did pretty well but not amazing in Belgium and has high wage demands x2 they are unlikely to go for someone like Troisi now. the rouble probably plays no role like you said they deal in euros. But teams like Dynamo and Rubin have been hit hard by Financial Fair Play. Dinamo were banned from Europe this season and had to sell all their foreign players, guys like valbuena, samba, kuryani etc and they have tightened their foreign limit meaning teams are less likely to take a punt on a decent foreign player.I haven't watched much RPL since Franjic left, good league but it is quiet rough, not sure Troisi would match up well there. i'm still shocked he did not find a decent gig in Europe. However looking at the list of players his agent looks after, it is no surprise. I think only 1 or 2 guys are in Europe

Devastated not to see him back in the A-League, but if the Euro offers aren't pouring in I again can't begrudge a man trying to make some good coin for himself and his family.
Does anyone know if this is a loan or if Al Ittihad have bought out his Juventus contract?

Would have thought he could get a gig in Turkey. Especially with the money they are throwing around right now due to changing there foreign limit from only 5 foreigners allowed on the pitch to 11.
