That's a bit premature. 2 separate pro independence parties, could form a co-allition government in the Catalonian regional parliament. That's still a very long way from independence. If they were to hold a referendum on independence polls suggest it would be 50-50.
But the it would be illegal anyway, as the referendum would have to be set up by the Spanish Federal Government and every person in Spain would be entitled to a vote not just those in Catalonia.

Since when has it been the British Premier League? I know they are pushing the abbreviation BPL but thats for Barclays Premier League.

England isn't an independant country. Nor is Scotland, Wales or Northern Ireland so Macs argument is flaud. As of Andorra et al. I would say some of those countries are too small for their own leagues. Those clubs however choose which federation to join.

And it's not like Spain's economy is going swimmingly either :lol:

And Catalonia want to become independent on just a fifth of that and having to pay for the expense of setting up their own administration.

The Scots voted against independence becaused they finally realised it meant an end to England subsidising every aspect of their lives.

Scottish nationalists also have majority of seats in the Scottish Parliament and nearly all the Scottish Seats in the House of Commons but fell short of independence. There is still a long way to go in terms of process and they have a hostile government in Madrid not willing to facilitate a democratic process.

But you're right though. The Naw Bags in Scotland were pathetic. Either thick enough to believe that "The Pledge" from the major parties was genuine or Huns who were so simple minded that they voted no simply because they fly the Butchers Apron on match day.

As you can tell I'm pissed still they didn't succeed. I truly believe their were threats if succession took place and the current order ran a fear campaign.
