its funny you know...ive experienced racism in my lifetime a few times since im not a white anglo myself...and when i speak out against people who commit murders in the name of religion i get accused of being a racist like as if i dont know what it means.

Just two weeks ago Tony Abbott delivered the Margaret Thatcher lecture and warned that Europe was inviting disaster by allowing massive uncontrolled islamic migration. These attacks were carried out by the people the refugees are trying to escape.

I guess it works both ways which is counter-productive and prevents and meaningful discussion.

The reality though is that the terrorist attacks over the past few years have been almost entirely by Arab or Africans muslims with notable exceptions.

Agree it's counter productive , sadly the debate has been hijacked by both sides to atrack each other. My wife is muslim but she is a white bosnian so noone knows she is one. Her and her family get on edge when this happens as they get caught up in it all

When religion is involved it's always hard to have a discussion without offending people who aren't extremists. I'm sure her family fears being treated with the same sort of hatred irrespective of their behaviour which is disappointing.
