i also only heard the official story presented by police, mainstream news, authorities and governments. it was only when a lot of what they were telling me simply did not make sense or hard to believe. i think it's good to be curious, even skeptical of what is told to you. my understanding of the "truth" is exactly that - my understanding. but at least i can say i've spent a lot of time looking into it, absorbing many different opinions on the many facets of this story.
I am happy to talk about it in more detail but it's difficult to engage in that unless others have been brought up to speed.
it's like trying to argue the bible with folks who've never bothered to open it up and read it for themselves first haha.
not asking you to believe or accept everything the "truthers/tin foil hat brigade/conspiracy theorist" present but at least be aware of the major talking points.

In real life I am a proponent of free speech. People should be allowed to say what they want in public. If comments are so outrageous and out of order then they will be shouted down/fired from their job, estranged from their friends etc.
