I recently got the mag. Its a good read actually, they mention the current situation and what further plan are ahead. Abrams concern is not enough of youngsters are getting proper proper training like they are doing in Europe. For example in Belgium he mentions some of the 300 best talent from 13-15 year olds are getting around 8 sessions a week(2 a day, 4 times per week year round) whilst only 24 our best youngsters getting similar sort of training which is not enough talent and a reason why our talent pool is so small. I thought the intake was to be increased to 36 this time? But he wants to centres or such as the NTCs to work with the schools and clubs to create a similar environment. He wants to do the similar thing here. He also wants to include defending in the NC as he thinks the current defenders coming through are not good enough or don't press effectively like the NC was supposed to do. Good to see him finally commenting about where youth development is at and what is needed to be worked on.
