I understand the need for advertising on the website as any website of this scale requires financial assistance to pay for bandwidth and exclusive content

However the latest set of ads are so intrusive I feel they are more about forcing content down the throats of website visitors

Often when I click on a thread or navigate the page jumps down and a full scale ad starts playing at the top. I don't imagine this is bandwidth friendly either, and sometimes the mute icon toggles off

Having the page constantly jump down creates a frustrating experience and is insulting to long time users who have supported this website

I don't mind ads but please have a fair system such as roll over to start ad, or some kind of user click. Don't just throw it at me
