Heard this yesterday from someone who called Garcia to CCM and a few other HAL moves over the last 1 months. Used to be an agent.

Michu is 29 and currently playing in the Spanish 4th division for a club that his brother manages. Apparently his knees are shot to hell, but if fit he'd be amazing in Australia.

The Guardian had an interesting article about him recently - he has family at his current club and seems happy to take things slowly in terms of getting his career back on track. He's also accepted he may not play at the professional level again. So aside from the obvious risk to the club in terms of injury, it'd be a surprise if Michu suddenly decided to throw himself back into the deep end on the other side of the world...

I love this guy.. I wondered where the f he ended up.. would kill the aleague even with questions over fitness.. none of the other strikers seem to stay fit anyway

They've got Kisnorbo, Hughes, Chapman, Malik, plus others that can slot in there if need be. I don't think they'll use a visa spot on another centre half.
