Places like China saying 'Its a Western perspective' whenever it comes to an argument with regards to something/ anything, eg the control of those waters and the fake islands made by China
Its not just that either In the same vein. Unpopular (and no doubt controversial) opinion. Asians, in general, don't give a rat's arse for the environment. (Japan and Singapore excluded. Maybe South Korea but I haven't visited there yet.) I feel like caring about the environment is a 1st world thing to do. Indigenous cultures who are hardly first world would disagree
He was a man of specific quirks. He believed that all meals should be earned through physical effort. He also contended, zealously like a drunk with a political point, that the third dimension would not be possible if it werent for the existence of water.

Unfortunately, when 69% of the American population and 63% of the Australian population is either overweight or obese, it becomes an unpopular opinion amongst the majority of the population. That's why I'm walking as much as I can for as long as I can and counting kilojoules every day. I don't want to be a statistic for obesity.

Does this hormonal response eventually stop? Not that I'm purely using calorie deprivation as my weight loss strategy (even though I've only eaten 250 calories today ), but I want to be able to lose the weight and keep it off.

UO - the world was better before the internet.
The internet has made the world a smaller place, but overall that hasn't been a good thing.

That is the problem with the takeover of politics by the culture wars and identity politics. This. Holy fuck is there anybody more obnoxious than a self-loathing virtue signaller? And to the person who said "nobody outside the colonies knows RL"- I hope when you're talking about Australian Football you mean football in Australia and not Aussie Rules. League may be a "two state game" but those two states comprise more than 50% of this countries' population. League is also played in NZ, the UK, France and is the national sport of PNG (for what it's worth).

Terms like "Racist", "Bigot", "Homophobe" and "Misogynist" are used so frequently by the type of people who carry on about these things day in, day out, that whenever I hear of somebody referred to as one, it genuinely surprises me if I do a little research and discover that the slur is indeed an accurate one...

Agree with this. It's like a race to see who can label and marginalise others first. I think it is part of the "virtue signalling" mentioned above - if you call someone a name, you're signalling your strong alliegence to socially acceptable standards. It's also a way to shut down debate without actually having to debate any points e.g. "You're an islamophobe, your full of hatred, so your just automatically wrong and I don't have to say why you are".

Yep. They are typically desperate words for people who can't debate for shit.
