+x+xScreen-shotting or imgur? I don't know how to get it from imgur or photo bucket to here. Ahh. Imgur is a lot easier to use than photobucket. Should just be able to use the [ img] and [ /img] tags around the url. There's no button for it on this new forum that I can see.

It wasn't on the footage but I swear I head the announcer say 9000 or so at the game. Didn't look like it but maybe they were undercover on the broadcast side.

Dont nee +x+xScreen-shotting or imgur? I don't know how to get it from imgur or photo bucket to here. On Imgurm or pretty much anywhere - view your image at max res and just copy the image into the forum. Doesnt require tags or anything.

It is what it is, which is a terrible crowd, no need to try and deflect.

It is what it is, which is a terrible crowd, no need to try and deflect. I was not defecting. More defending. I didn't know if you have or have not done the above but was simply asking and making a point that some WSW fans were making this point. They have an excuse. Personally I don't know why we get caught up in numbers. They are what they are and statistical anomalies happen all the time. Its the final numbers that count. And even they can be influenced

+xHorrible crowd, no excuses sorry. Wow that is shocking. Out of interest whats the feeling like up there regarding the ownership of the ledman group. Are the new owners getting out and about and promoting the club. They promised so much but seen very little so far. I must admit, i was always a bit concerned during the negotiations that it took them so long to agree to a deal to buying the license for 5 or so mil which in all honesty for any real serious investor would be considered small change. But the level of scrutiny over it makes you think that the ledman group will probably run the club on the scruff.of.an oily rag. That club needs c9nsiderable investment to win back the support of the publuc. And it seems that maybe the ledman group are not going to provide that. Coming off a win in perth too and a friday night game. Interested to hear thoughta from newcastle fans on the matter

You can't rely on public holidays or derbies to get good crowds. For the league to grow your normal rounds with no derbies and holidays should be higher and the lower supported teams should be doing everything possible to increase their crowds. 5k yesterday and tonight 6-7k isn't good enough.

I don't know about that, they all count towards the average, including the big derbies scheduled for the opening rounds of the season. Averages are averages, the big games help keep the averages up whenever we have deluges like we experienced last night. Nothing wrong with that.

Find it hard to believe the Phoenix crowd was bigger than the jets.

Still, Jets are averaging 9K for the season, so far. They'll improve with a few positive results as they've had over the last couple of weeks.
Phoenix, on the other hand, are averaging 6.5K. Can't see them doing too much better over the remainder of the season. So much for the metrics!

What on earth has happened to Wellington? Jets would have got their usual 8-10k with no rain so can't complain there but Welly wtf? Won't be in the league much longer.

+xThey call this a " sell out " ? 5000 empty seats. Only empty seats are City member seats and without corporates it holds 28,000. These AAMI derbies are never completely jammed because of the members not turning up. Always hover between 24-26k.

Two home games in a row not played in wellington. What a bloody idiotic idea. Season tickets would have to be a lot cheaper since they are giving all their home games away no doubt for the $?
