Waz 332 was full but 331 was emptiest it has been this season obviously due to FFA and Ticketek. We had numerous groups of people coming down through 329/330 sneaking into 331 and 332 as security were being tight asses not letting people into the Den with incorrect tickets.
Luckily it was the loudest the Den has been all season and was a great atmosphere. Luckily the riot police scaling the stairways protected us from each other as well.

Yes, the extra police presence was noticeable and totally unnecessary as was the additional fun police security. 332 was fuller than usual - it's a while since I've had no space in the middle but I just thought it looked busier in the photos.

+xLast night, Port played Carlton at 7:20 in what was apparently a shocking spectacle (and no doubt full of racist bogan families) but even that drew 43 000+, in a pissant town like Adelaide. The "late start" or "geez it was a Friday night" excuses are just stupid. We get what we get cos that reflects the size of our fan base. Roar fans have generally been pretty good. Def better than what happens in Sydneythehomeoffootball. Yeh, but don't forget that Adelaide is the bogan capital of Australia.

always amazed that the technology to count and announce attendances seems to break down whenever FFA doesn't get a crowd they like

That's lower than a lot of City's regular season attendances.
Having to play Glory two weeks running, albeit in different cities, may have been a contributor to such a low attendance figure.

Just shy of 10,000 didn't surprise considering the time it was on. I actually thought it could of been worse. If it was a Saturday I would think an extra 2 to 5k.

LOL. Finals seem to be used to mask the cracks but these two results show that there are still massive problems.

+x+xSemi Final Sydney FC v Perth Glory 21,938. The bitters will be out in force. Blame Gallop for everything. Poor crowd etc etc. It wasn't a poor crowd. It was an expected crowd. The finals haven't had much of an impact outside of the grand final since the top 6 system was introduced The FFA think Finals = $$$. More teams = more $. But it is not a sure thing I would imagine that if it was a top 4, and no ACL spots had been awarded, that there would have been over 35k in attendance because Sydney would have had everything to play for. Instead they were playing against the 5th placed team and if they had lost they would still be in the ACL anyway I've been a MV member since inception but I'm not going today. I have no interest in watered down uncompetitive cash grabs. The FFA want an interesting league for casual AFL / NRL fans. I want to see a competitive league

+xIs there much point in comparing this seasons finals series attendance to last seasons? I frequently ask myself if theres much point in anything at all these days. Its just part of the running tally, and separated from the H&A season like it should be.

+xIs there much point in comparing this seasons finals series attendance to last seasons? It comprehensively proves Hindmarsh Stadium has a capacity of 16,000

What! So crowds and viewers go up and Finals are not successful? I am not sure what measures success but you would think an increase in viewers is a sure marker. The grand final will demonstrate this again

The grand final will demonstrate this again So if Allianz sells out this week the finals are unsuccessful because Adelaide Oval got a larger crowd the year before. According to your logic. Think before you type hey
