Oh yup fair enough. Had understood your post as claiming Holosko was a striker being forced to play wing and I was confused.

Sydney's defence and inept play turned his potential match winners into a pointless statistic. He was brought in as a match winner so when Sydney wasn't winning he copped a lot of frustrated anger, whether he deserved it or not.

That he was much maligned in the media and other people earlier in the season for a barren run of goals and hwo many times did he have to come out and explain he was a winger not a striker.....I'm 99% sure that happened in the season just gone. Am I misremembering? Was it just that he was expected to score more than he did early on and not that he was actually played as a striker?

Huh? Holosko is a career right winger that played there and scored a very respectable 10 goals and a few assists in a dire attacking side? Not sure what point you're making

hopefully he continues his rich run of scoring form and we can finally have a roo that can hit the side of a barn

Well, I'd like to reiterate my stance last week that I am nervous we are a few players short of being contenders again.

Yes, I know we have Amor and yes, I know last year people said the same.

Not as easy to replace Bruce in our system as some others we may have lost. Something tells me that system is going to have to be tweaked. We have less pacey wingers and no target man to hold up for attacking midfielders.

Anyway, if the last foreign spot was going to a winger/2nd striker, this move has made that interesting. Hope we don't have a season like poor Holosko with a career winger played as a striker.

Not to mention after he actually started scoring last season he ended up with 11 goals in 14 matches.

He was quite important within the Adelaide set-up. Did a lot of work off the ball creating space for the overlapping midfielders.
