One website which has a lot of excellent articles explaining detailed answers to questions I've asked on here is Cricinfo.
I know Draups also uses it too and speaks highly of it.
There are some very good articles on spin bowling in Australia compared to the Subcontinent. Nathan Lyon is also very candid discussing his own lack of efficacy on the Subcontinent.

Can we just keep each 'series' to one thread with a poll? It's a bit messy. I've edited the other thread for my part.

one more wicket and we are into the tail
pretty disciplined bowling performance. It helps when starc hazelwood and lyon all are on because the mental pressure builds
lyon appears to be bowling slower (can someone confirm? My stream has no speed gun) and is getting the ball to spin across the batsmen eyeline
its a lot more threatening for an offy bowling to a lefthander to pitch it on middle and leg and have it move across the stumps to off or fourth stump
if your flight is such so that it goes above the eyeline as well as spinning across the batsmen eyeline you are in business

Australia win a session
2 sessions each makes it an even game at the moment
Opportunity here for Australia. We are yet to play against tired bowlers. If we can win the first session tomorrow we will finally see some lack of control
also means sri lanka need to get a haul of wickets with tired bowlers
Fingers crossed we can manage it

Oz 1-145 or so at stumps.
The wicket still look alike the Sri Lankan spinners are getting more out of it.

+x+xahhh henriques is gone why oh why not play a specialist batsmen Particularly given that Henriques didn't bowl any overs in the first innings. Since Shaun Marsh and Smith's excellent partnership, the Aussie batters seem to really be struggling. Against spinners, Mitch Marsh's footwork looks cumbersome and slow footed - far too heavy on his feet. Smith's footwork was nimble and very effective.

What do you think? That is, if they get on again after the rain.

Absolute idiocy from Sri Lanka to send out a nightwatchman to take strike first against Starc and go 4 . 4 W
