That's what i said at the beginning, By law he shouldn't be running a company for 5 years. With the money the bakeries put in, they never going to get a return on investment, not really sure why they are holding out and just dumping it on the FFA. Anyone confirm that Bakrie actually pay the wages ? Or was it Cobb ?

Didn't sign sponsors.
Couldn't be bothered selling memberships. Now, let me just ask this. WTF. It is a season ticket. They know they are playing at Suncorp. They know the fixture. What possible reason on this holy Earth do you have not to start selling memberships ASAP. Even dero AFL clubs have instant rollover renewal for members.
This guy was running the club in to the ground. It doesn't look even close to accidental.

Cobb was sacked on Wednesday by the Bakrie Group. The extent of the problems he has left behind are only just coming to light. With six weeks to go until the start of the new A-League season, Roar have failed to sign up a range of corporate backers and sponsors - including back-of-shirt and sleeve sponsors - leading to a revenue shortfall of at least $600,000. It's understood Cobb did not even contact Roar's few existing sponsors in his two months in office. Further exacerbating Brisbane's cash deficit is that the club have sold only 693 memberships ahead of the new season - and it's unlikely many more supporters will part with their hard-earned in the current climate. It leaves the Bakries - who had agreed to sell the club to Cobb, only to remove him after learning more about his business background and conduct - with no choice but to invest in the club, or risk an eventual A-League licence breach for insolvency. East Coast Car Rentals CEO Mark Kingsman, who has been installed as a director of the club, is expected to meet the Queensland Rugby Union (QRU) on Friday in an attempt to revive the Roar's proposed move to Ballymore. The Roar had to pay $300,000 to the QRU by Thursday for the shift of their training and administrative base to go ahead. Former state politician Robert Cavallucci - who is the leader of a consortium of local businessmen interested in buying the club - has lent his support around administrative and strategic matters. However, the consortium will not discuss the sale of the club with the Bakries until the off-field issues are settled. Football Federation Australia is watching the events closely and is under increasing pressure to intervene. - But legally, it cannot take the Roar's A-League licence from the Bakries at this stage. Even if it could, several recent resignations at FFA - including former chief operating officer John Kelly and A-League head Damien de Bohun - have left the governing body thin on the ground in terms of manpower. Coach John Aloisi and his team are well insulated from the crisis, as they are in camp on the Gold Coast ahead of a pre-season friendly on Saturday against Sydney FC.

AAP understands a group of Brisbane business identities is prepared to buy the club and pick up the pieces following the farcical reign of Daniel Cobb, sacked as Roar managing director on Wednesday by owners the Bakrie Group.
The new consortium has been active for several weeks and is organised by former state politician Robert Cavallucci, who had been part of an advisory board set up by former Roar CEO David Pourre to ensure stability in governance beyond his departure in May.
However, the advisory board - which also included former Matilda Alicia Ferguson-Cook, and was endorsed by the Bakries and Football Federation Australia - was scrapped by Cobb without explanation in June when he came into power.
Cobb denied he was fired on Wednesday, insisting he quit in protest against the Bakrie Group's failure to inject $1.1 million into the club as he alleged they had promised.
Cobb also said he would make a final "take it or leave it" bid to buy the club, but there was no chance the Bakries would consider it.
The Indonesian conglomerate became suspicious of Cobb after his falling out with coach John Aloisi and football director Craig Moore and sent officials to Brisbane to investigate his conduct, leading to his eventual dismissal.
East Coast Car Rentals CEO Mark Kingsman, meanwhile, has been installed as a director of the club to ensure the Roar comply with ASIC's requirement for companies to have at least one Australian-based director.
Kingsman was previously in talks to join the Roar advisory board.
The Bakrie Group is expected to remain in control of the Roar in the short term but will need to pump more money into the club to ensure it can continue to operate.
Of immediate concern is the Roar's proposed shift of their training and administrative base back to Ballymore Stadium, which will only go ahead if they pay $300,000 to the Queensland Rugby Union (QRU) on Thursday.
The QRU has asked the club to provide the full season's rent up front, following last year's legal battle over unpaid rent, which nearly led to the Roar being wound up.
Also a worry is the Roar's low membership take-up.

Wooden spooners Central Coast, who are currently without a coach, have nearly five times as many members signed up.

As to QSAC,IF Roar ever played there,there would be no problem getting there based on prior experience .Express buses from the city and Garden City used to ferry fans to Broncos games and it was the slickest operation you could see.I enjoyed many bus trips back to the city on a Friday night full of happy fans .
The less said about Cobb the better.The track record was there and I'm still amazed wealthy and supposedly intelligent people in high places are so gullible.Maybe it shows most sharks are swimming with other sharks.

Sounds like he was a whistle blower.

Minutes from a Roar directors’ meeting – minus Cobb - on Tuesday, show the decision was made to remove Cobb as a director.
That's prima facie evidence that Cobb is a liar if it is correct if I can play internet lawyer for a day. I can't stop staring long enough to pick up my popcorn at the moment. I await in hopeless anticipation that some sort of leak of a forensic analysis of Roar's financials will come out. Suggestions of a hand in the till have been made which would suggest a call to the police in the longer run.
That wouldn't be a good look but it all pales of course alongside Rangers and Leeds and all those other football financial rip-off stories used to scare children by old people after the game.
