If a defender shines this season he would be ready for Europe. So many attacking threats this season. A lot of talent has been retained and brought in.

Maclaren, Cahill, berisha, fornaroli, ibini, Bobo, nordstrand, barbarouses, brosque, Santalab, Finkler, Kokko??, taggart, holosko, keogh, Rojas, ninkovic, bonevacia, odonovan, carrusca and plenty of other new quality signings. Fuck it's gunna be goals galore. Very attack minded. Golden boot might be the hardest to call ever.

Would love to see burns, holland and essien all signed up this week. Can't fuckin wait for the season to start, forced to stay home due to an early start tomorrow and a league football would be so perfect tonight.

Actually though, the only real out and out notable strikers from last season to have left are: Pablo Sanchez & Djite. 

Archie only scored one, Smeltz didn't do much and the likes of Novillo, Castelan, Goodwin, Vidosic & Bridge were deployed more as wingers.

This season the strikers to come in include: Bobo, Cahill, Kokko (Jets), Taggart, Keogh (full season), Bulut, Guardiola (Reds).

And compared to those goal scoring wingers i mentioned above. The in's include: Rojas, Martinez (WSW marquee), Troisi, Ibini, Brandan (City), Jumpei (WSW). 

It's fair to say that there is a massive potential for the improvement of the front third of this league.

With the potential arrival of Nathan Burns and a Melb City marquee winger, I believe we are set for goals this season!

Shaping up to be a cracking season already. If Burns can add to the list of recent A-League sharpshooters who are returning for this season it'll be even more tasty.

Both good and much needed signings for the Reds. Hopefully they can pull it off. I think most clubs would take those players. It's going to be a great season.

Yes something like that would be the line up, Ochieng or Warland would probably be the defender and Marino will be a chance to make the bench. 
It is worth noting though Mells will be missing the start of the season with the young Socceroos, Jordan Elsey has done his ACL again and is going to miss the season, and, Cirio, La Rocca and Carrusca are under some injury doubt. Cirio has been recovering for a broken foot and should be over that but probably lacking fitness at the start of the season. La Rocca is in a similar position after breaking his cheekbone. There is rumours, not confirmed, that the club are looking for an injury replacement for Carrusca who has not been playing the preseason games but it is not clear what is wrong.
However this means McGowan is the only completely fit CB that Adelaide has at the moment, young Ben Warland has not been re-signed to a senior contract but seems to be staying at the club on a youth contract or something similar.

Last I heard he wasn't getting any game time.

Burns would be great for United.

He seems to be doing pretty well in Asia though so i'm unsure if would move.

weak bench.. But if guardiola is a decent pick up.... That's quite a strong starting 11.

The doubts for Adelaide fans is its a lot of if's. If they sign holland, if they sign burns and if guardiola is a hit.

Heard on the daily football show that there are strong murmurs of burns to Adelaide United.

If you combine this with the James holland rumours then Adelaide fans might finally be able to breathe easy! Been a long wait, but in my opinion, unless both are signed... Then they have gone backwards as a squad.
