+x+xTrust me when I see this is definitely not the time to have a crack. The best option is to simply do nothing as doing anything will only make us look bad.My hope is that both sets of supporters tifos at the derby have nothing to do with Rebecca Wilson as saying anything will look terrible and take away from what would otherwise be a good spectacle. The best options is to simply do and say nothing. Its probably too close to the game to alter their tifos, dont they take the best part of a week to plan and make? wk2 could be interesting though :( MBV at home as well;) I've personally helped design & make a tifo that was used at a game that night. Anything can be done.

If you can't say anything nice, don't say anything... Certainly not a mantra that Rebecca lived by, but let's be classier than she was.

It's times like these when it's so easy to hate football fans. Jesus.

No sympathy, she was a stain of a human being. Mate that is pretty disgusting. I hated her comments on football like the rest of us here but seriously at the end of the day it's a sport and we all can have a difference of opinion. She had a family with young kids. Shouldn't be celebrating her death that's just fucked. Can't say im surprised coming from you though. She was a shit human being, having kids and family doesn't change that. She made a living out of slandering people and publicly shaming people. She knowingly tried linking A-League crowd violence to Hillsborough, despite knowing full well how offensively ignorant Im happy she is gone. I don't care if it's celebrating death, horrible people like her shouldn't get the benefit of post mortem respect. Pretty much the same how I felt when Maggie Thatcher finally carked it. Jelly and Ice Cream. fuck....and your not a horrible person?

+x+xSupporter groups would have to be absolute fuckwits to chant about this. I didn't like her as much as the next person but if we want to get ourselves in the news for the wrong reasons this would be it. She's passed, it has nothing to do with the football this weekend, move on. Condolences to her family. Totally agree Azza. I'd like to think the footballing community will just move on with business as usual. We have a new season coming up, dont even need to bring it up really. if supports chant something like this....it will hurt football image so much in Australia.....righ, don't even need to bring it up

Thing is, if she really was the enemy to you then you won. Your enemy is defeated. Gone. Dancing on graves is only done by classless plebs and people with mouths bigger than their brains.

I think I echo most people's thoughts in thinking she was an awful journalist and very damaging to our game. However it still saddens me to see cancer take another victim. Some things are bigger than football. RIP

She had little love for A-League fans, but I wouldn't wish her illness on anyone. People are not black and white, just different shades of grey. Rest in peace, and condolences to her family.

Trust me, it's nowhere close to the pure hatred I have for Thatcher and her orcs, that was obviously on another level. I just have no interest in biting my tongue for a vile human being who went of her way to publicly ruin peoples lives, or hijack tragedies like Hillsborough to make normal people feel unwelcome in their community, all just to further her pathetic career. Death does not entitle you to respect and I will show none for her.

I generally do agree with just one slight difference. That it's just a bit crass to gloat and glory in death. Nobody (or not many) are backflipping and denying she was a shit. Anyway, I really don't care either way aha I am just bored

Obviously we shouldnt celebrate anyones death, no doubt people will and it will be a shameful indictment on the A league. Not that people will care, they like attention good or bad.
As much as RW wrote bad stuff about the sport, she didnt rip flares, bash people up and generally act like a tosser and embarrass the broader football family. In a way I think she was a red herring, why admit our own flaws and failings when we can just push them all onto some journo.
RIP

There are no flaws, or rather there are no more fan-based flaws in Soccer as there are in Aussie rules and Rugby League.
it's just that the Mass media choose to ignore the flaws in Aussie rules and Rugby League fan-based behaviors and highlight every single A league indiscretion tyo bring that game in disrepute.

Some people on here clearly don't know what its like to lose a loved one to cancer yet. You don't have to come out and pretend you're sad or sorry. Just keep your mouth shut for the sake of those that actually cared about her. Its not hard.

Genuinely didn't steal that post. Believe me, don't believe me, whatever. Literally woke up, checked Facey, saw she died and came here. Mum's pissed because I don't care that she's dead. Yes, it's sad that her family has lost a wife/mother/daughter/sister, but she tried to drag our sport through the mud. I'm personally not shedding any tears.
For the first time, but certainly not the last, I began to believe that Arsenals moods and fortunes somehow reflected my own. - Hornby
