I am not so sure its still in our hands.If we lose away to Japan and Japan win all their games except against Saudi and Saudi lose to us and win all their other games,we can only finish third.So Arnie you are wrong.Winning only home games could see us miss out.

It will probably finish like this:

Japan 23 points
Aus 21 points
SA 20 points

Will be tight but we need to rely on Iraq giving us a draw and cause SA to drop points otherwise we may need to win everything is SA keep getting results.

He's right. We've done the majority of the tough and difficult away games now and should be looking forward to a string of good home games. If we mentally fuck around with the Arabs when they come over here it'll make it easier. Suddenly everything they eat will contain pork, and/or pork related products. Instead of bottled water, they'll find there's only beer. Instead of obscure religious requirements, strippers will be sent to their rooms at inappropriate times of day/night.

I just hope the Socceroos don't think all they have to do is turn up at home to win.
We play Iraq away and then five days later play at home to UAE.This is a potential banana skin.We never back up well.Players like Rogic and Mooy struggle the most and lack energy.UAE will sit back,so we will need a fast tempo game to beat them.
Ange would almost be better off,leaving out some players out against Iraq and sending them straight home to freshen up and prepare.
One of Milligan and Jedinak,one of Mooy and Rogic and one of Kruse,Leckie and Burns and Cahill.we have a lot of wingers and midfielders,so when there is a short turnaround we should rotate the squad.

The only upside is that the Iraq game will be played in Iran where the temps will be about 15-20C in March and then come back to Australia with temps probably about 25C.

So hopefully, not that sapping.

Think we will be fine in all honesty, can only see us dropping the Japan game, if we play shithouse against Iraq we will still get a point, the other 3 games I'm confident we will clean up comfortably, these teams are garbage when they come here. 10 points from 15 should see us through.
