With the salary cap can they do things like they do in NRL where a sponser pays a large part of the players wages? I don't know if its out side their salary cap but I can't see why it wouldn't be. Now that would be a good way to snare huge Marquee signings.

IF this did happen itd b a massive loss for newcastle. i dnt see GvE letting him go to easily hes to important a player for newcastle

I don't see this happening. First of all, the jets will try their best to keep him. Second his brother is playing there. The only thing that i think will lure him away from Newcastle is his gf.. whom i believe is a british actress (i could be wrong here) so maybe back to england.

Plus i don't know why anyone would leave Newcastle for the gold coast. Newcastle is much better

Why would they sign Milligan if Griffiths was staying?

Funny because Milligan has signed as a replacement player, I've not seen confirmation he has signed for next season, just speculation with GVE adding today that he did'nt have any idea how to fit him under the salary cap for next season.

There's fuckign NOTHING interesting there.
The industrial areas smell and there's coal everywhere.
The traffic sucks, and it's only half a city.

Yeah, why does no-one like us here in Newcastle? We probably have been the most resented a-league team in recent times just to cap it off.

I think there is a widespread feeling that the Jets did not deserve the title last year. Personally, I went to see to Jets games and both times felt it was scrappy stuff where youguys were lucky to get a win. Not pretty football IMHO.

Your strength, however, was your obvious team spirit, and I think at the end of the day that's what got you over the line. Very impressive.

If people think the jets didn't deserve the title, well, when you're playing well, doesn't the rub of the green go your way? TBH, going into round 21 last season ,the title could've went to any of the top 4 really. I thought all 4 sides played some good football going into that round.
