Lyon again showing his doubters they are idiots, he is the best spinner available and should not be dropped.

Gee, Lyon has taken 3 -20 in not many overs.
5 wickets to go in the last session.

Go Nathan lyon
We need two top quality spinners to work in india.
my indian side would have out and out pace bowlers who tend to do better in india than line and length bowlers. Perhaps a bit controversial reintroducing an all rounder in faulkner and dropping 2 excellent line and length bowlers in bird and hazelwood. But for whatever reason we haven't had a lot of luck with line and length bowlers in india
warner
renshaw
khawaja
smith
handscombe
faulkner
neville
O'keefe
starc
pattinson
lyon
If you want an extra batter instead of the all rounder I'd go chris lynn. As it standers you kind of have all rounders all the way to number 10

match would have been more interesting if not for the 4 lost sessions
if there was 180 overs to go Australia should be well placed for a win
as it stands they have an outside chance but the pitch is still playing like a 3rd day wicket.
They need all four bowlers to pick up wickets if they are going to grab this. My guess is that Paki will draw with 3 wickets in the shed
Shame about the lost sessions.

Hazel wood and birds performance even more impressive when you consider that Starc is having a rare off game

In a tough contest here
Hasn't been a lot of movement and Pakistan handling the bounce well
Pitch should deteriorate

Jackson Bird showed yesterday why he should be in the team.
His second spell yesterday was outstanding - he bowled a fantastic line with a little bit of seam movement and made the batsman play more often than not. On a slower pitch that's what you have to do.
Hopefully all this talk about dropping him will go away. I think he will do very well on slower pitches.

Australia in a strong position in a pitch that looks reasonably friendly to the batsmen, not a lot of movement
Can really tell Pakistan have practiced on granite pitches
great decisive footwork, unlucky to be 4 down
