Interesting quite a number of Mariner fans taking an interest in a match at  Pluim Park tomorrow  in an  FAA Cup game between CCUFC v Wyoming. Two local sides... 

Who would blame them .The FFA Cup is a big competition. Its always good to be in and among the early rounds. A lot of mistakes a lot of tough challenges. A lot of banter and laughs .Good fun.

Something for you to watch on Saturday night... IMO this is mega news but as always seems to only be known locally...

Anywho on Saturday night as you would be aware the Mariners V Jerks game was moved from Friday to Saturday because South Gosford FC [Flying Circus FC] are playing in Asia mid week our games where swapped...

So far no big deal..

But get this the Mariners approached the association side who play Hurstville as a double header....

Mega news a double header between two NPL and two A-League sides...

Itll be interesting if they broadcast the first game.

Stadiums permitting double headers are s great idea - it’s been done before though right?

BTW tomorrow night Mike Charlesworth is having an open forum with fans and members with no question off limits ... could be a fiery affair... 

If you have a question re what he may know as an owner about the second division or P & R .. PM your question and I will table it pre forum... 

You could ask hin why he has not spent the banked salary cap. Pretty sure any club need to spend any banked funded every 3 years. Could it be he is hoping for the FFA to be turfed so he sets away with it?

From a mariners perspective - is there an opportunity to run that stadium or is that pie in the sky? What happened to the partnership with Everton? What’s the clubs position on p/r?

For Charlesworth - As a “foreign owner” what does he make of Lowy’s statements on foreign ownership? Why does he think foreigners continue to invest in A League clubs?

And bonus question - is there any chance we can get the sideshow Bob/palm tree shirts back for next season?? HAL crowds were higher when they wore them, there’s a link surely?
