+xIt's great to see. Its also great to see numbers at the grounds. Yer you can see the crowds are getting bigger on the streams some quite decent ... and many at the non ethnic clubs as well so its not just teams like Sydney United and South Melbourne.

Evident today. I don't think you can say ethnic clubs are the only ones pulling the crowds because that is clearly not the case.

+x+x17,500 views (FB) 767 views (YT) Is YT total or simultaneous? Final simultaneous. Absolute shite for data is YouTube. Facebook provides better data and has access to more people which is why I ONLY link Facebook posts if I have the option. Of course, South Australia and Western Australia only use YouTube so no real point trying to find Facebook sources. Maybe in the future, they will to broadcasts on both.

+x+x+x18,163 views (FB) 335 views (YT) Interesting considering the Socceroos V Brazil match tonight. I watched it over the socceroos. I watched the Socceroos but watched the match after. My grand parents moved to the Hunter sometime in the late 1890's from South Africa. A French grand father and Irish grand mother. The stories they told about Football in the Hunter where amazing. As a family we hated all English teams .... The town they lived in was called Paxton. The Hunter is the birth place of Football in Australia and it makes me sad in some ways that only SBS have taken an interest in Football and they mostly talk about say 20 or so and mainly say 6 ethnic teams. The history of the Hunter and huge crowds is huge and never talked about. Sorry for the long post but I know those two teams and many others in the Hunter from family stories handed down from my Dad n Grandfather.

^^^^^ There is so much there just a little. Adamstown Rosebuds were the first registered Football club in Australia. They were founded. In 1889 and played trial games only In 1890- they came 7 th, in the Newcastle badge competition meaning there were at least another 6 Football clubs. Here is a highlight of the 1979 season and fuck me someone has just had the audio removed because of copy right… but in the original they mentioned three crowds at games of 17K+, 18K + and 21K+ Look from about 2:30 seconds for about two to three minutes and you can see the crowd. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G3Qz1f1Jr5Y&t=68s Newcastle in the NSL also drew very good crowds. My Dad and Grandfather told all sorts of stories and behind the pit [mine] at Paxton they used to practice bending the ball and other skills….They used to show me when I was a kid in Fairfeild how to hold my foot and angle it and put the laces thought it to get spin and turn and all sorts of other tricks ..Just magic days … As I said it saddens me much of our history has been ignored by the mainstream media.. To this day Ray Baartz is still considered the Regions best Footballer and that would include the Johns brothers in league.

I have always considered Newcastle the heartland of football and despite the main club there playing absolute shite the fans still turn up. Anyone who disagrees with me can tank it as far as I'm concerned.

Gotta keep it in Sydney boys.

Blacktown, Fawkner & Langwarrin getting in on the live stream scene now with the latter testing our graphic features for in game presentation. Absolute fantastic ambition by some of these clubs I tell ya.
