+x+xJust sounds like they are sucking up so they don't get docked points, quite pathetic. Tiny minority, yea right. This lol Fucking hilarity if they did get docked points and dropped the title. -PB I think the FFA just proved that that the whole docking points thing is an empty threat. [/quote] Yup lol -PB

Whatever this is by the Cove, it is just miles & miles above and beyond what the RBB have done in ways of recognizing, and making up for, their mistakes.

FFA to ban some members of the Cove for the destruction at ANZ. Currently, they CANNOT appeal the ban.
About time something is done to the Cove who have got off Scott-free for years because they have been the protected species for years.

Cringeworthy. I actually feel embarrassed for the Cove.

+xWell done for stepping up and accepting responsibility, even if it was downplayed a little. I wish the RBB would do the same, but their PR machine is nothing compared to the Cove and whoever makes statements on behalf of the RBB is clearly 11 and a half. This is probably the biggest issue with the RBB. They are too busy trying to build up their ultras-tifo.com, anti-authority, anti modern-football image. I can kind of understand it in Europe/South America where you have several generations of ultras/hooligan culture behind you, but for a 5 year old franchise?

+x+xHahaha fair cop for admitting the mistake, but they are prolly thankful for the RBB banner fiasco as it took basically 99.9% of the heat off the Cove lol. Had there been no Cock-gate it woulda been the Cove getting reamed in the media. -PB But at least the media wouldn't have been able to follow up with "Cove tells FFA to fuck off" articles, unlike the RBB. or this https://twitter.com/RBB_net/status/833628294020894720

Here's one interpretation
The damage to seats and throwing of objects onto the grass was entirely unacceptable and we will be working with the club to ensure that such behaviour is not repeated. Hopefully we got away with it.
how other supporter groups have been dealt with in regard to similar situations is not relevant. Please don't punish us.
Good on them for apologising, but this sort of behaviour shouldn't get a warning. If I were to run onto the field during a game at Suncorp I'd cop a few thousand dollar fine. These idiots rip up chairs and damage property, and it's 'sorry, we won't do it again'.

It really is great to support a club whose supporter group recognises and condemns antisocial behaviour from dickheads within their ranks.
The contrast with the petulant chest-beating from the RBB in defence of public displays of homophobia couldn't be clearer.

We wish to apologise to Sydney FC, ANZ stadium and our fellow fans for the actions of a tiny minority of our group at ANZ on Saturday night.
The damage to seats and throwing of objects onto the grass was entirely unacceptable and we will be working with the club to ensure that such behaviour is not repeated.
While we understand that emotions were high and many fans felt disillusioned by on-field events, there are never any excuses for this type vandalism and dangerous behaviour, and the overwhelming majority of The Cove rejects such behaviour.
What other supporter groups have or have not done in the past is not relevant to our behaviour, how other supporter groups have been dealt with in regard to similar situations is not relevant.
For twelve years we have worked successfully with our club, security and stadium management to build a positive relationship with them, we will continue to do so in the future.
