I love a good doco more than a movie or TV show. Just finished watching EPSN 30 for 30 on the Hillsborough disaster.

Another one of my favorites is Inside Job which is available on Netflix and is about the 2008 housing market crash. What are some of your favorites?

There's an australian documentary streaming service called docplay, SBS/History/Nat Geo/BBC Knowledge and Netflix have some decent docos too. My last few favourites are probably Before the flood which has Di Caprio, and King Alfred and the Anglo-saxons.

Nat Geo's apocalypse series is great too, which is about the first and second world war, and the rise of hitler.

Also going clear. About scientology and gets pretty weird. Really good though

'Senna' (in my completely non-biased opinion)

Also my favourite 30 For 30 ones were the one on Reggie Miller v the Knicks in the mid 90's, the Pistons 'Bad Boys' and the history of Cleveland Sports Team failures.

There are only two intellectually honest debate tactics: (a) pointing out errors or omissions in your opponent’s facts, or (b) pointing out errors or omissions in your opponent’s logic. All other debate tactics are intellectually dishonest - John T. Reed

Check out 13th on Netflix if you believe white privilege doesn't exist.

"I Am Your Father" - about a Star Wars fan who sets out to re-film the Darth Vader mask-removal scene but with David Prowse...
"Jim and Andy" - Jim Carrey becomes Andy Kaufman behind the scenes of Man on the Moon...
"The Battered Bastards of Baseball" - tale of an offbeat baseball team in the 80s (Kurt Russell played for them between Disney and becoming a legit 'star')
"Hired Gun" - session musicians talking about their life on the road and in the studio with big stars...  Some interesting stuff about Billy Joel's character in that one.
"Undefeated" - possibly the best American football doco you'll ever see.
"Anvil - The Story of Anvil" - what happens when your heavy metal band doesn't take off.

Hired gun sounds familiar.   There's another one that was made about the background singers and musos for Motown records

Have you seen "Last Chance U" on Netflix?  Another terrific show - takes a while though, it's a full series.  Brilliantly edited.
