+x+x+x+x+x+x11 000 that is terrible, we need to get back to the Gippsland Falcons zenith. Why would a team based in Parramatta play in Gippsland. Silly billy, and you are calling me a retard. Why is 11000 bad in the a-league...or 6 000....but 2 000 good in the "alternative league"? I am all for expansion and second divisions but if you guys think it is going to have some miraculous effect on attendances and ratings, then you are off with the fairies. .....sooo you just sound whingy and bitter as well as deluded. So we are simply noting the decline of numbers both in tv figures ever since expansion was neglected. As far as I care, this decline is at the fault of the FFA. As you well know I am constantly watching, attending etc. But if the FFA are going to provide such lip service and gamble on the future of our game then I'm not going to pretend to be sad when it all goes to shit. So will you keep up your tirade against shit attendance and TV ratings figures when expansion teams and second division teams get them or is it just some sort of misery that sustains you? Lets be honest, if you are whinging about 11000 crowds then you don't have a lot of room to move. If they are down, yes. Well, I can guarantee you that if 11000 upsets you then you aren't going to be happy.

If this is such a great result we need to be capitalising on this with expansion. But we are not. Why?

Everything comes back to potential In a closed off elite league rigged for entertainment value, 11,000 for the West Sydney team is shit. This is a team that was often pushing its capacity hosting its second biggest rival 6,000 is good for a bottom table fringe team in an open league, and 2,000 is good for a second tier that is predominately player development. Elitists might choke on these figures but the most important thing is viability, and that comes from the top teams as we see time and time again all over the world Too many people are hung up over this one size fits all 10,000 figure. The potential of each region is vastly different. And if the A League was tipped to average 10,000 when it was just the NSL with a coat of paint, then 13 years later its hardly a benchmark

Growing attendances is one thing, but growing revenue at the gate is another. Compare the ticket prices to 13 years ago. There's the other half of the story there. That not including the fact you're ripping in to a team's crowds when their stadium is under construction, which is frankly baffling. WS is averaging 14k this year playing in two stadiums their fans hate with a passion. That's bloody good going.

It’s really sad because it was a great game. Arzani could be a future Socceroo and nobody would even know where he started his career.

A lot more freebies thrown around last sunday especially those who had tennis tickets which is why the crowd was bigger against adelaide. It was a cracking game last night and im regretting not taking up the free corporate tickets that were thrown my way.

20,053 in 2011-12 was lower. Not sure if that is the lowest though.

Think 19k was the lowest a couple of years ago. Would have been less then that if the rains had started an hour or so earlier.

+xPretty decent Perth crowd considering it clashed with the opening of the Citys new stadium v England Not to mention 5 losses on the trot. Really wanting to see Perth get back to where they should be. They really ought to be averaging 15k in their ground.

All I see is my club beating all before them and playing the best football the league has seen, that isn't my definition of a shit club. You should fuck off and watch AFLW, they get good crowds.
