Another bumper crowd to watch this quick fix finals. The more finals spots you throw at the league the better the game becomes Meanwhile MV now have to decide how they can keep their best players under the cap as their value has gone up but the salary cap has not. But that's OK. They still have a marquee position. And if they finish 6th they still get to play finals

+x+xGeez the top tiers look bare for the victory final..looks like a melbourne storm game. Good. I hope more fans had stayed home. It's the only way to hurt the dogs in FFA. This .I dont get why BRM didnt protest with others .Moving around is a joke.

+x+x+xThe top 6 is great idea. Australians love any kind of finals. The more finals the more crowds and ratings *cough 7.7k *cough If we throw enough finals, marquee players and derbies at the league maybe the problems will be resolved. Forza AFLX model Forza AFLX. LA DA DA DA DA. LA D A DA DA DA. Can't wait for MarkFromCroyden, paulc and all them boys to explain this one! They won't .They typically talk a big game when its easy. Ie. Before the FFA Cup and during the peak of the a lick season. Otherwise they are dead silent because they hold their own generally. Also local leagues are rising in popularity.

+xThis year's Australian champions league crowds 2018 | QR | B | Ceres-Negros | QSAC | 1279 | | GS | S | Suwon Bluewings | SFS | 6349 | | | MV | Ulsan Hyundai | MRS | 5124 | | | S | Kashima Antlers | SFS | 6442 | | | MV | Kawasaki Frontale | MRS | 6639 | | | S | Shanghai Shenhua | SFS | 9855 | | | MV | Shanghai SIPG | MRS | 7148 |
Funnily enough, we got our highest crowd to a dead-rubber. I was legitimately expecting <1000 people to attend. Thank you to the enormous Chinese student community I guess.

+x+xWas commenting with a a few friends that there is absolutely no way that a Canberra team would pull anything except significantly more than 7.7k for a home finals match. This is the problem with fabricating support bases out of thin air, and precisely the reason that the FFA would be well-advised to take a look at where the fans are without a team rather than listening to the foxtel overlords.Listen to foxtel > more dud clubs > game doesnt grow/goes backwards > foxtel loses interestOrFocus on building our own great product > piss foxtel off for a minute > ratings/crowds/interest grows > more money from foxtel If I recall City came in against three other bids, I think one dropped off. Hardly alot of choice. I guess taking advantage of natural divisions helps to better sell a team to the public, look at WSW and Sydney. Melbourne City's only division is that it is not Victory and it is owned by the weathly city group. Best bet would be for City to move out to Bundoora, near the training facility and play there, but no-one wants to give up on AAMI park one of the best venues in the Australia. They came up against South Melbourne, the ffa were so obsessed with keeping anything ex efnik nsl related out that they give the heart consortium the license without them even needing to make a legitimate presentation. In fact Bundoora was never on the table and was a last minute thing. The process for the 2nd Melb license was pure corruption. Unfortunately the morons at my club are still at it with this pipe dream 3rd license.

+x+x+xThe FFA needs to pressure the AAFC to schedule the Australian teams home matches during the Australian school holidays. Victory played their overseas matches during school holidays but home matches on mid week nights during school term. It's not that hard to work out that if you want kids to come school holidays is the time. Not sure they have that sort of power... Def sure they don't give a fuck about the ACL They don't give a fuck about anyone other than their own pockets.

+x@bohemia, so the crowds for the ACL are better than Wellington's. Actually not bad in my opinion. Well done to SFC and MV fans. This year's average is up on last year, however nowhere near the highs of the first few years. About middle of the pack. A long time ago indeed that Victory were getting 20k+ ACL crowds.

+x+x+x+xBefore RBB Protest 10,065 6,612 7,041 After RBB Protest 9,266 12,122 Well.... 6,612 was against Perth which the RBB was banned from. Wanderers had free tickets for every member that game it was still the lowest ever attended a league match for the Wanderers. The top three games were also at Spotless and the last two were at ANZ. I see... So West Sydney, the so called heartland of Australian football, only turn up to games see kids jumping around making noise? There are many reasons why WSW attendances are low which have been covered dozens of times throughout the course of this season. 500 clowns walking away is not going to stop the people from West Sydney turning up to see their team and their allocated selection of franchise players play each week They chose the name. They chose the colours. They chose the ground Their support for the game they are most passionate about was never conditional on who was allowed to stand behind the goal Bluebird I sincerely hope you're just stirring and not believing the crap you mention. Clearly Western Sydney crowds have dropped for many reasons, with location of both shut stadiums being one major reason, not to mention the obvious fact we're playing like donkeys. However you'd have to have rocks in your head if you think the club and FFA banning the RBB for offenses that every other fan group has committed hasn't had any negative impact on attendances. It's a whole range of reasons not just one. It's laughable that you'd compare the last home game of the season where only a win would send us to the finals as a stat to prove more people came to the game because RBB wasn't there. It's that stupid your comment that I know you're not that dumb to believe it yourself and really you're only stirring lol. Like in said earlier I really hope that's the case. The sky is green according to bluebird on this topic. He wants an ALF atmosphere.

+x+x+xThank god Gallop and Buckley got our crowds back down below season 1 levels. We were starting to worry the establishment when we had things like 14k+ attendances, active support and freedom of speech. Don't forget Buckley also managed to get the league back down to a manageable 10 teams as well. Got rid of those fan bases that were bringing down the averages So, here's the thing. Wellington's crowds this year were nearly below one of Gold Coast's years. And, North Queensland's crowds were actually larger up to the point that they were axed (then obviously they fell through the floor after). It's absurd that Wellington gets a lifeline when other Australian clubs did not. Who you try to kid?? Adeliade+Jets+Roar+WSW+CCM all leeched off a FFA tits until they found owners, Never has Wellington leeched of the FFA like Aussie clubs have. So get ya facts rights knut, and keep that TV money following in to NZ!!
