What are female Braziliian footballers doing here? They all look like they spend pregame getting makeovers or someshit, so precious and dainty

Best result for the Matilda’s to be honest. Taking the trophy home would mask some glaring need for improvements.

Because we smashed them last tournament. But this looked so obvious, backpasses, fumbles near goal, fouls near goal, short passes never intended to make there target and land straight in USA players feet. Rubbish , tournament is a joke now bcos of these precious cry baby's. Wait until the WC Matildas. But , game against US put them in this predicament so made there beds really, lay in it now.

Just caught the highlights. That 4th US goal was a sweet set move. If you look closely you can see how Morgan runs through from deep to receive the clipped short free kick. https://twitter.com/ussoccer_wnt/status/1025206987884244992

There's no way they lost on purpose, that loss will have basically cost Brazil any chance of being a Pot 1 top seed for the WC now.

Sad the Matildas missed winning the prize, but at the end of the day it's no big deal. The team remained undefeated which in itself is a good acheivement, but overall there's still a heap of work to be done if the Matildas are to seriously challenge in the WC. Against Japan the team was second best for long periods and lacked the quality and technic of the Japanese side. Far too many times our defenders just booted the ball hard and long instead of constructively building up from the back. The talent is there it is up to the coaching staff to make it happen.

US could have scored 8 or 9 against Brazil so no complaint here.
The best thing about us for this tournament was the marked improvement of young Elie Carpenter as a footballer. This is very good to see.

Wish I knew this was in Bishkek, I'd have gone! Looks like they pretty genuinely cast the net wide for players, which is nice.

I wonder how many players they are bringing in for each camp.
McNamara and Fenton have been in matildas squads before so you would assume they are locked in.

U20 womens WC is on. NZ been pretty good.
No doubt we struggle to qualify because we are playing in probably the best youth region for girls. Asian teams doing pretty good.

UEFA and AFC definitely the two strongest confeds in women's football. Japan are through to the semi final ... although I do feel sorry for the German scorer in the 3-1 quarter final loss to Japan (what a name!!)

We really need to start making these youth WCs. Never qualified at u17 level. Hammered by Japan and North Korea in qualifying and barely got past Bangladesh. Couldn't beat china to make the u20 WC.
