+x+xEveryone else is going retro. Bring back the fucking spew kit officially. Pretty sure the retro look is something most Nike kit sponsors have gone with ... did you see Nigerias second kit?? We could get the spew kit!! Dead set they would sell out of a Nike spew kit so quickly, like when they re-released a fan shirt edition. I for one support the idea of half of a world cup stadium looking like they rocked up to a house party in Brisbane.

+x+x+xEveryone else is going retro. Bring back the fucking spew kit officially. AUSTRALIA SHIRT HISTORYTo begin with the Australian team wore a sky blue football shirt with white shorts, and maroon detailing on the socks. In 1924 a green and gold coloured kit was introduced. It was not until the 1960’s that the now classic yellow shirt with green football shorts combination was introduced. To this day the Australia home kit features a yellow home jersey, green shorts and either yellow or green football socks.
The Australia away kits are more variable in colour. Often the away kit reverses the home kit colours and is primarily dark green with yellow trim. On other occasions the squad wears a blue away kit in reference to the historical kit, although dark navy blue is more often chosen than the sky blue of the original Australia jersey.
Australia Football Shirts, Jerseys and Shorts In Stock
It doesnt say which colour socks but we could embrace this
Probably look something like this

I've read before that the first kit in 1922 was blue with maroon. Even as a Victorian, I reckon it would be great to have this "NSW Blue" kit with the "Qld Maroon" trim as our home kit for one year in 2021-22 as a celebration of 100 years of the Australian National Football team. Play away matches in Gold for that year. I could have sworn I read once that the original Socceroos kit had maroon-socks, but anyway.. For the Centenary away-strip, this'd be pretty left-field: It's the Socceroos home-strip during the 1950s up until our 5-year suspension fron FIFA, and they could have been slightly-modified Kangaroos rugby-league jerseys. Even if it's a reference to another code, it's still part of pre-1974 World Cup Socceroos history that should be acknowledged. Furthermore, you could change it a bit by replicating the green and gun-metal gold shades used in the mid-Noughties Australian one-day cricket strip:

+x+x+xI'd really dig an away kit inspired by Aboriginal colours. Red, black and gold. Something like this Belgium kit would be cool.
Thumbs up. That looks great. Maybe as an alternative or an away. Then you will get all the SJWs yelling through social media 'Away only? Are the aborginals only good enough to be 2nd! You dont respect the culture' etc etc I want to die No, racist, homophobic Australia, should go all the way and have a rainbow kit.

Hi everyone, been a while since i've been on here, very keen to see the new WC kits, shame nike doesn't seem to want to go bold with some previews I've seen of the other countries.... if only we stuck with adidas.

So... having said that, I've been working on some mocks myself, I am working on a 'spew', but I've gone for something which might be controversial (I'm well aware, I remember the pain...) but I've gone for a throw-back to 1997. Love it or hate it, It might be just the kick start we need to start healing the game in this country, by facing our darkest moments and owning them to MAKE history for ourselves on the world stage. Let me know what you think

It's inconvenient that Adidas hasn't been our kitmaker for ages now, as they'd still own the IP of most Socceroo-kits from yesteryear.

Does anyone recall a Socceroos (possibly Olyroos) strip that consisted of vertical Blue and Green stripes from the late 90's? I've not been able to track down any pictures of it, but I know it existed because we used it as the basis of my clubs change of strip for the 1999 season.

This could be what you're looking for, beautifully exhibited by Aurelio Was part of the 1993 WCQ campaign, not sure if it was ever worn?

This could be what you're looking for, beautifully exhibited by Aurelio Is FIFA still sticking with its ridiculous rule where shirts and tops have to be predominantly one colour? Or are we allowed to return back to green shorts? If the same rule is enforced, then I wouldn't mind seeing a modern version of this type of kit so we have a bit more green splashed on it. Or even something simple like green side panels on the shirt and shorts.

Possibly, from what I've seen though, England seem to have blue shorts in the home kit in some mocks I've seen, and FIFA doesn't seem to have a problem with Brasil, who knows though....

Agreed, love those gradients, Portugal's got something similar coming out (same with Nigeria too) so it could be possible,
