That's what I did, but the point is if the stadium is full many people are going to be so very bloody annoyed. I was in one such seat at AAMI Park during the Asian Cup matches and it was very frustrating. I wrote to the FFA complaining, but got no reply.

I'm stunned.

Have you lodged a complaint with MV head office?

There's no need to sell those seats for such poorly attended fixtures. Just block them off on Ticketek. But if you were sitting in those seats in an empty stadium surely you just moved a few rows back?

Same thing happens at Suncorp, it’s bloody annoying.

Yeah remember it was pretty bad there as well. If I was going to a Roo's game again any time soon,  I'd splurging on better seats for Roo's games and/or ensuring I was on the Camera Side.

Having attended the Victory v Kawasaki match last night, I was once again disappointed to see the advertising boards placed so close to the plaing arena. Spectators sitting in the first 10 rows along the side of the ground at AAMI Park could not see the touch lines and those behind the goals, the all important goal lines. No seat in any stadium should have views obstructed to any part of the playing arena and if it does it should be advertised as having restricted viewing.

Same thing happened to me at the Asian cup a few year's ago. I took a pic and sent it to Ticketek and they gave me a partial refund on the ticket price.

Is your view blocked even if you're in the 10th row? Aren't the stands at AAMI Park fairly steep?
I've only been there twice but from memory I was standing in the first few rows and still had a decent view.

Most definitely, goal line out of view from behind the goals up that high up.

Seen some photos from the new perth stadium. They used the bump in seating for the NRL games. Can't see below the wastes of the players let alone the playing surface.

That's shocking. These stadiums don't work for football. Unfortunately if Perth ever win the rights to host the GF they'll have no choice but to play it there just like Adelaide did at Adelaide Oval.
Personally I'd prefer to keep even a final at their home ground and create something like a fan fest and a big screen at a park for those missing out.
Just like when we won the ACL and roughly 6k fans turned up at Parramatta to watch the away game on a big screen.
That was one of the best atmosphere I'd been to and it wasn't even in a stadium lol.

They were told by one of the unsuccessful bidders during the bid process that the bump in seating would have that problem.  Mind you its also an issue when the people writing the brief for a rectangular pitch stadium want the first row of seating at ground level.  It should be at least 1.2m above ground level and more if the stands are set back more than the minimum from the edge of the pitch.

Seems to be an issue at AAMI park for AFC-run games, but not at other stadiums?

Yep, AFC games are a pain in the arse for this and the FFA/Clubs don't help for this either by not warning fans. Learnt the hard way about this during the Asian Cup. Paid for Category B bundle tickets in the Asian Cup and was infuriated that i couldn't see shit once the ball was any wide than the penalty box.

Rule of thumb at AAMI Park is to either get yourself above halfway behind the goals or to level 2 on the wings.
