Guess his team having another win ruins the party. Such is life!

it's a pissy win really.  against a second division team in the cup.

he has to turn it around soon.. the last 5 league games:

2-1 loss
3-0 win
3-1 loss
1-1 draw
1-1 draw

Every game his team have 60%-70% of the possession and almost double the shots at goal than the opposition. You would think that he will eventually start winning games.

Stats aren't horrible for the last 5 games... basically he has won 5 points which is slightly below par.

Again, you don't know his deal with Yokohama. They could have agreed to give him 2 seasons provided they don't get relegated in the first.

As soon as Postecoglou announced his move to Japan, I predicted that he will get sacked before the World Cup in Russia starts.

He simply lacks Football knowledge. Being successful in the A-League means absolutely nothing. It's equivalent of being successful in Liga 4 in Germany..

Yokohama F. Marinos currently are in 15th place. As I expected. The question remains: When will they sack him? Or will he do a runner again before they sack him to save his face?

For the first time in his life he actually has to coach in a proper League. As a Socceroos coach he only assembled players who got coached in Europe by far superior coaches than himself. And he enjoyed the blind patriotic support of journalists and fans from down under who have no clue about Football whatsoever. Bogans who only know "oi oi oi" and if there was no Football in this country, they would be at the NRL or AFL grounds....

It is crystal clear to anyone with Football knowledge, that there is no current A-League coach competent enough to coach the Socceroos when Bert van Marvijk's contract ends. We need to search for a competent man in Europe again, of course.

This has predictably gone the way it always goes with Ange coached teams. They gel and eventually come out on top.

It would be but i can't see him being interested in a NT job till the end of his career and hopefully by then we would of got our act together and he can take the Socceroos to glory.

that wont be for a very long time. i reckon the Japanese would give Ange much more freedom than what the FFA gave him so i can see Ange take up the JFAs offer

Japan have more and better players to work with. They might be able to execute his style of play.

Image he had the chance to coach a whole country...no ones says that Ange isn't killing it, but his extremely one dimensional, and in a national squad format he doesn't have liberties with his defence, which is his weakness

NT coaching and Club coaching are very different. A club coach spends every day with the players and has the luxury of recruiting and transferring players to suit the system he wants to play. An NT coach gets a week or two a couple of times a year and is forced to work with a potentially limiting stable of players. Ange has always excelled at the club level because he needs the time to get the players he wants and then get them to buy into his system. Not saying he couldn't be successful as an NT coach, I just think his style is more suited to the club environment.

That's true but I do believe the Japanese organise their NT a bit better and I can see player buy in from the start if he gets a successful stint with Yokohama.

agree. imo ange is not pragmatic enough to be an NT coach. i don't think he should waste his time doing it.

He simply lacks Football knowledge. Being successful in the A-League means absolutely nothing. It's equivalent of being successful in Liga 4 in Germany..

For the first time in his life he actually has to coach in a proper League.

It is crystal clear to anyone with Football knowledge.

Got to tend to agree, with a team more comfortable with the ball at feet & very good 1st touch, Ange would do very well at national level.
I tend to think this was more am issue with football in this country, where I think you could count on one hand the Socceroos in our history with a great 1st touch.
