Now the independent doctor can't see what actually happened with the benefit of a dozen replays...

Some rumours circulating that Averillo might be dropped for Wakeham.
Personally I doubt it, even though Wakeham went well in reserve grade and is more like a specalist half.
If true I wonder how Averillo can force his way back into the side, IMO he can play anywhere in the backline 1-7. On the wing he doesn't have the size / height of Okunbor, but he does have more pace. It is possible to make yards with speed and footwork.

Mitch Moses is the greatest single reason punching should be allowed back in the game...

+xMitch Moses is the greatest single reason punching should be allowed back in the game... It should be mandatory for all team mates and opposition players to punch Mitch before and after the game. During the game is optional but should always be a penalty against Mitch. #BringBackTheBiff

Meaney - good speed, good turn and chase, good hands, multiple positions. I'm so glad we let him go and kept someone with Okunbar's size.

This incessant use of the bunker drives me mad. How often does the delay kill momentum or advantage or whatever you want to call it.

But I don't expect we'll see much of OK from here on in... I think OK was already signed for the extra year or so .. Meaney even ran the ball hard... Credit where it's due, but based on his performances with us in the main, it was the right decision to let him go...

And insufficient evidence thing is a complete copy out... Now we have have Drs getting crap wrong like Bromwiches HIA... Sadly it seems like a necessary evil as refs can't get obvious shit correct... No way wighton even goes close to trying to play the ball properly for their last try... And no way Brinson knocks on after the Semi bone rattler...

But if Wakes gets Avos spot it really throws out and combinations that were forming. If we win and become a better team it’s the right call. But for mine Baz is showing he is a poor coach and not sticking with his best team. I think we lose

+x+xSchoupp in for Okunbor - good decision. Yes!!! As long as it's Schoupp in the centres and Naden on wing. DCE will be bombing the wings and we need Naden trying to leap rather than Schoupp. Also I feel Naden is a better winger than centre anyway.

I think Shoupe in for Okunbur is a good change but I think Baz should just leave everything else alone for the time being. Too many moves will upset what has been achieved so far.. you know the old 'one step at a time' approach.

Too many moves will upset what has been achieved so far.. you know the old 'one step at a time' approach. Agree. At the moment I see 2 problems that need immediate attention. One is we need to score more points (tries). Two, is we need to have better cover defence. By dropping JOK, TBaz is looking to fix point 2. For point 1, we need to create more try opportunities and then convert these to legal tries. If you make too many changes, you confuse the attention to detail and may screw things up even more. Im hoping its a relatively low scoring game where 3 or 4 tries wins it. If it needs more than 5 tries, I think we are toast.

I like the idea of Wakeham at halfback so looking forward to that change more than anything, but if it doesn't work out, I wouldn't mind seeing either BBO at half with JMK/Cook at hooker rotation or even JMK at half with Cook/BBO at hooker.
Afew years back, we had JMK at halfback but we had a fairly poor team. Maybe in this team with Burton at 5/8th to do most kicking, he can play the role better?
I still think heads-up players like Wakeham and BBO are probably our best hope for the halfback role. Flanno I'm afraid should never see first grade again in this team....

We arealready creating plenty of scoring opportunities but we need to nail the last pass. Several tries went begging last week but the boys will work it out....hopefully sooner than later.
