He has negotiated consent to talk with Newcastle and as long as he is meeting any obligations set by the dogs he is not in breach of contract. Surely you have dealt with contracts that have had negotiated variations or extras. No different. It is only when the club and player can’t agree and one or the other breaks their obligations without consent. Easy Listen to yourself. He has approached the club with intent to break contract. Sugar coat it anyway you like. Unless it's all BS and he hasn't approached us with any desire to leave or hasn't spoken with Newcastle, then he has exercised a severance clause in his contract. Full stop. Unless you can show me a clause in his contract that allows him to talk with rival clubs and end his tenure at our club at his desire, then he will be breaking contract. Contract 101. What you're probably trying to say is that until he actually severs ties with our club or formally discharges it, it's all speculation. Well it's been in media for afew weeks now and not denied by either him, his manager or even our club. So the request and desire is there and that's enough for fans to turn on him. Justifiably. I'm disappointed in Klemmer given what we had to do as far as roster changes and fire sales. But I will be even more dissapointed with the club if it doesnt show some backbone here and simply gets run over by this negotiation. I'm assuming the only reason this hasn't been formalized yet is because we have flexed some muscle rather than klem being on leave..... Easy... ;)

Marki, Klem's request to terminate his contract reminds me of Slater's appearance at the judiciary in grand final week. A million football fans were referring to it as a "Shoulder Charge" but the first thing the head of the judiciary made clear on the night was Slater wasn't there to answer a "shoulder charge". The offense he had to defend was something else altogether. I can't remember exactly how the judiciary worded it, something like careless or reckless tackle, but you know what I mean.
I think most people thought it was about a shoulder charge & the minority that knew it wasn't still referred to it as a shoulder charge for simplicity because everyone else knew what was being referred to.

What I'm doing right now is sending a message to the admin of this site asking them to ban you for doing this again and again and again after being asked... nicely... not to again and again and again.
