+x+x+x+x+x+x+x+x[quote]Gee, a lot changes after a week in Japan. Big T in trouble for posting the complete Sydney Whitepages on the site....Klemmer is still going ….going...but not quite gone. AND NOW we are getting the well hung Burgii...great terminology BTW. And someone disguised as Marty Tapau seen applying for assistant groundkeeper's job at Belmore. How did it all go over there? ..and what do they eat for breakfast.... If you stay in a a Royokan a traditional Japanese breakfasts a range of dishes. The best bet is pastry shops (e.g. Andersons) found in many train station subways, this is similar stuff to a European continental breakfast. Japanese also have Gongee for breakfast (rice pudding with a bit if bacon or something like that) very nice IMO. I haven't been there, but one of my brothers was given a free holiday there from the boss of a company over there. He didn't have to worry about anything because he always had one or more Japanese people with him that could speak English. It'd be so much different if you were wandering the streets over there confused about where to go or what to do for meals. Most people that go always seem to have a different take on the experience. I has hoping perhaps a bottle of Japanese wine might've caught Steve's eye, not that I'd pester him with anticipation of a sampling verdict or anything... It is relatively easy to get around when you don't speak Japanese, most train stations signs are in English and Japanese. Many customer facing staff speak English particularly in tourist locations, you can generally point at the food you want, or order via a tablet. As for wines .. Japanese are most famous for Sake, which comes in all sorts of different grades, tried it myself, OK, but not as good as wine. They also make very good Whisky, but it is very expensive. They make a range of good beers which are cheap, most Aussies would end up drinking beer in Japan. A night out in the wrong kind of place, drinking Whisky or Sake would run up a hefty bill. With plots of land there too expensive to be justified for vineyards, producing spirits is the most logical way for them to do something. I'm not much of a drinker, never tried their whiskey, but I bought Suntory vodka more than once during a phase a long time ago. Quite good with OJ. I mentioned Japanese tea once before. I think I described it as the bottom of a birdcage emptied into packets. Never again. I'm still wondering what the blue stuff the person running the Chinese restaurant was eating. Who eats anything blue? There's blue liquor & sometimes children's cakes... It was barely half an hour after they closed, the person that picked up my order didn't pay them thinking I did already, so I'd just zoomed over to swipe my card. It's not like they couldn't have their choice of spring rolls, fresh veges or anything they wanted...but no, they were stuck into the blue stuff... What's stranger is it wasn't sweets or cake, it was some kind of serious food...that happened to be blue. ~mind boggles~ I could joke about them not being able to read the English labels at the supermarket & ending up with Jay's Bloo Loo instead of Party Pies, but it's nothing like that & they were serious. It wasn't blue cheese, that wouldn't do it. Blueberries cooked somehow, maybe. I think there's one or more types of less common seafood that could do it (I don't mean blue fin or blue bottles). I don't know if the Japanese make dumplings, but the Chinese sure make a huge variety of them, so something along those lines could probably do it dependant on the ingredients. Yoyogi Park is a big deal in Tokyo..more like NY Central Park..there is a big shrine in the park and along the walkway are two lots of barrels...one full of sake and one lot full of wine as a thank you to the gods/emperors or whatever...but there was a hell of a lot of barrels. Also a fun place in general...never knew there were so many small dog breeds. Also a group of rather eccentric rockabilly types gather to perform on a Sunday afternoon. Pompadours piled high and all the accoutrements ...great There is some weird stuff in Japan, that is part of the appeal.

+x+xSo I just got a strange text from Lucy Allen calling me "Les Mis Team" saying she couldn't make rehearsals tonight until 8.30 as she's coming from another rehearsal in the city. I didn't want her or the Les Mis team to miss the message so I texted back "Wrong Number" to which she sent "oh thanks apologies" and I replied "Ok, hope you make the show! which she hearted. I was curious, so I put her name and Les Mis in Google and.... well holy f***! Isabelle "Lucy" Allen - She's "Cosette" THE girl on the poster for the film! Somebody f***in' famous!
Question is now is she rehearsing for a stage version.. in Oz (or was it an international text) ? Or I have I stumbled on secret rehearsals for the sequel to the film? (Did Cosette live from the first?) There's a BBC TV series happening for it & ongoing theatre version in the UK. I haven't seen LM but my impression from reading about the story is it's something unique that wouldn't get a movie sequel. No idea how it ended up going to your phone from the UK. Maybe the number starting with "0" was keyed in wrong & went international. Also possible someone was taking the P out of you for being a C'bury fan. If you think about it, "miserable team" with no shortage of news dramas at the moment. Well there you go, I'd say she's rehearsing for one or both of them. And i'm sure it was genuine, she mentioned how "Keith" probably would've already passed it on. It was her, the poster girl.

If it was a genuine wrong number, most likely the theatre version, but I haven't seen the cast list to confirm. She wasn't listed in that role for the TV series adaption. She was involved in the movie version a few years ago so she might still be involved somehow, maybe helping the one that is singing in her previous role with the singing & choreography. Not a wrong number you'd expect though. Small world sometimes.. Also could be working on something completely different as well as helping out with LM. You want to phone her & ask, don't you, hehe.

I just googled around & she isn't in the UK theatre version or the UK TV version. No mention of her anywhere in association with LM (apart from the movie). The only production happening in Oz was a really low key amateur thing, so she wouldn't be anywhere near that either. IMDB says she just finished working on an unrelated movie & that's basically it for the current time.

But here's the thing - why would anybody fake being Lucy Allen texting the "Les Mis team"....?
And then, why would they try and... what... scam....? ME about it?
What's the hook?
Maybe she's in Aus? Maybe there's an Aus production and there's an Aus named Lucy Bell, coincidently.
Anyway talking of scams -
Offshore Investments. Somehow these scammers got my number and they keep trying no matter what I say to them. I've told them directly to f*** off, told them "not interested don't call again" and hung up, explained I know they're scammers so give up ffs, hung up as soon as they say "Offshore Investments", just left the phone hanging with no response as soon as they say "Offshore Investments", - no matter what I do, they just keep coming.
And it's always someone with a deep, deeeeeeeep Indian accent named "Ken" or "Brett" or "Roger" - you know, those traditional Indian names....
I'm actually at the point where I might let them scam me for something, just to reward the persistence. There's something admirable about it.

BTW, tip for anyone who gets a phone call from who they think may be a scammer, or if you just want to know who's that missed call -
Type the number into Google.
You'll get results like "Reverse Call" and "Who called me" etc etc and if you then open the page(s) you'll find people have posted their experience with that number.

If it was a UK phone number it'd be more believable. 2 x pro productions are happening there & she'd probably be enthusiastic enough to go along to support them even if not working on them. But in Oz, there's no serious LM productions happening. The only thing LM going ahead in Oz is the equiv of a local drama society event somewhere, like pop down to the local school assembly hall to see the one-off performance by non professionals that real professionals would steer clear of. It's possible the person doing her role in that amateur thing has used Lucy Allen's name for whatever reason, could be an in joke amongst her friends in it or anything. The movie the real Lucy Allen is (or has) just finished/finishing up is a UK filmed one, so most likely she's still there in the UK, not Oz. Getting a text like that from an Oz number is an odd thing to happen for sure. With my mobile phone, I just never answer any phone calls if they haven't been added to the contact list. I always google the unknown numbers & if they show up as pest calls I block the number. If they don't show up as known pest calls, I don't bother blocking them in case they might be someone genuine, sometimes an email might turn up saying they tried to phone me etc.

And interestingly, without proving nothing but I'll put it out there anyway....
Google Keith and Les Miserables and you get a few results:
Randall Keith who was in both the movie and stage version - but surely she doesn't call everyone by their surname - Hey Keith!"
Keith Dunphy who was in the film and also Rogue One among other films - but no stage credits - naaaaaaaaaaaaah.
But maybe........
Keith Burns - who comes up in numerous stage versions of Les Mis as cast and vocals. And also!!!!!!!!! Member of The Proclaimers! The "Walk 500 Miles" guys

If it was London, it'd make perfect sense. I've just got no explanation for it being from an Oz number. Do you? London is where it's happening, the stage show is hitting the road & the TV series (which has no singing btw) is all going ahead right now. There's still no evidence anywhere she's involved in LM with either of those, not saying she wouldn't be helping the cast or something, she just isn't in the casts. If you can find a logical explanation for the Oz number, then it would rule pranks & anything else out of the equation. Her being in Oz for anything LM related seems very unlikely at the moment though. It would mean she suddenly stopped filming very recently in UK & is suddenly in Oz rehearsing more than one project here, one of which happens to be LM, which there is no mention of anywhere on google as far as being in the works. It doesn't mean it's impossible there isn't one under wraps, just highly unlikely. If the text was genuinely from her, it'd be from the UK in my opinion, not an Oz number. Plus she did the movie years ago & has been doing other things since. Who knows, you've had a mystery & a half turn up....

I'm in the for Napa camp... My love of Klem stemmed from the fact he was a lunatic... Unfortunately villis concubine aunty ray neutered him after black Friday... If we can get the crazy red for around 5-600 K I'm all for unleashing the madness... Don't let the doggy door slap u in the arse in the way out Klem..
Did this page have ads before, or has the BDP taken I side sport to the next level?...

Agree Dman!
If Napa comes to us 200-300k cheaper than Klemmer..... then let’s wrap it up the deal then
Klemmer made truckloads of Metres..... problem is we did Sweet FA off the back of it in attack/tries scored
Again.... the $$$ saved can get us a decent No3 or a decent No9

So after signing off on ridiculous contracts like we have had for years ..... like a player getting 200k one year then 600k the next, Toddy finally thinks this is wrong. Too late now but Des will certainly be in a panic if something comes of the proposed banning of such back loading.
