+xTrail teams named all the big names getting a rest. Flanno and grub in the halves, Rajab and Hayward on the bench. To be expected… Though Lou is having a hit out…

+xZef, are u watching these fillums on NFix… reason I ask ask is cos interested to know if you’ve watched the Hancock series Ancient Apocalypse and if so your thoughts… I cut down all my subscriptions to just one - Kayo. Because it’s the only one I watch with any regularity. The rest I was paying for watching next to nothing. Though I have and will sign up for a month to binge a series and then drop it again. Did it recently for Yellowstone on Stan and am going to do Foxtel for The Last of Us when it’s live run in finished. Biiiiiiig universal wraps on The Last of Us, many think episode 3 the best episode every filmed of any series. I, even not having seen a minute of it yet, am not surprised. See, I played the game from which it’s adapted and reviews note mostly scene by scene and word by word. I told yous all years ago video games are the next… now current… medium of story telling. There’s much more than just twiddling controllers and killing NPC’s. Some of the best writers are now turning their talents to video games. At the time I was talking about Bioshock Infinite which had one of the deepest, original and intriguing stories I’ve ever experienced in any medium. Last of Us when I played it moved me to the bones, and it’s transition to the screen seems to have done so to viewers. there’s reaction vids on YouTube of people weeping uncontrollably and this is basically a zombie story, but… sorta not zombies (if you know what I mean you know what I mean)… but also sorta are zombies. It’s gonna clean up the Emmies from top to bottom so if you got Foxtel and have been wondering get onto it or do what I do and binge it over a months subscription. Next big game adaption I think will be Elden Ring. Another mesmerise story… The makers wanted a story so deep they decided to have a lore and history that precedes a 1000 years of the game just to give it depth and a backstory. And they took it very, very seriously. So seriously the bloke they hired to write it George Rail Road Martin himself who wrote… still is writing… a little thing called Song of Ice and Fire, adapted to TV as Game of Thrones. Video games are no longer Super Mario.

It's either sport, movies, docos or news. If I'm still bored, I watch replays. Just can't do series

That episode three was beyond perfect. Just amazing. I hope the rest of the series can live up to that.

Kayo and Netflix for the kids… Love the games with the massive universes and free play that I hoped for as a kid, like red dead, though litttle time to play…
Cant commit to TV series, plan is to binge stuff like Thrones and Breaking I can afford to rretire at 108….
Like the Mock I’m sport or Docos in the main…
On Hancocks series, there is no claim that is nit reasonable… but what a shift proven… I can understand the push back, as history is virtually taught as gospel…

Only one caught in the Australian innings is an indicator of how far the Indian bowlers were on top

I have never played Ref Dead and game playing is almost not available these days. But I have heard great things. I’m hoping they make it a series

After watching the pre season matches so far, they are predominantly cup sides, therefore there is no way to gauge how the FG team will perform. Possibly you will see the quality of the depth. Other than that, they are nothing but a dress rehersal.

Other than that, they are nothing but a dress rehersal. The NRL is trying to present it as some sort of comp with prize money. What a joke. They're pre season trials which is fine and what they ought to be.

Our lower grades are winning games, I like the idea of Dogs players getting used to winning in the lower grades.
So far the trials look more like reseve grade, there are patches of great attack, but a lot of the defence is soft.
CC should have instilled a defensive system where every player knows their job. So if I see individual missed tackles thst is fine, players defending like strangers and making bad decisions should mean that they are out of the running for round 1 NRL.
I am interested to see if Averillo plays centre and how he goes. Also how Lou and Sutton go.
Mase rates Sutton.

I hope we can win the younger comps this year or at least in the next few. It’s so important to have players from winning teams moving into the first grade team. It’s why Penrith gave done do well.
Watching Perham in the All Stars game. He hasn’t looked great but is not scared to have a go. I can see why Ciro is impressed with him. Great footwork and hands and doesn’t stop talking. Obvious choice for fullback.
Avo at centre is an obvious choice. And could firm a lethal combination with Kiraz.

Avo at centre is an obvious choice. And could firm a lethal combination with Kiraz. All I noticed was that Perham threw a couple of poor left to right passes. And after on of them he was one of the players Cobo palmed off. But when he threw the pass he would not have expected Cobo to do that. The positives were that he was highly involved, looked fit and looked dangerous running the ball. He seemed to be ok catching kicks. Defensively probably better than Averillo. I was interested in everyone's opinion becuase I am only 75% sold on him.

We got pumped in the cricket.
My worst fears about our batting in India and England were realised. I hope that it was just a bad game.
I still think that we need to find some talented young bstsmen and introduce them slowly, also get Head back in the side ASAP.

Warner can’t go to England… his feet are long gone… I hope he takes the high road and retires… CA and selectors have been awful for an awful long time… they’ve just fvcked with Heads head, so which head do they fvck with next???… Renno.. Hanno… for a second time???… Green straight in if fit… Head back in… The PUC is our greatest hope if he can get his head right… Bancroft deserves a recall more than anyone… McDonald can’t make a tough call… he’s too busy letting the players be themselves… stunning and brave…

I think he's quite a talented batsman but in tests he should bat like a test batsman and leave the fancy stuff for t20.

The DRS is a strange beast. The same ball can be out or not out depending on the umpire's call. Surely they have to decide if they trust the DRS or not. If not get rid of it.
