Dual casting last night. Cricket on the TV and NRL on the tablet. Hard to follow the NRL well, but Bronx were impressive.

+x+xGrooaaannnn… dropped sitter… Thank you Davey, you’ve been amazing… but it’s time to go out in top… BazBall = edge through slips is worth 4. Next session all important, we don't need to rush a declaration, aim to score as many as possible and keep the Poms in the field for as long as possible. Bat for 4 days if we can…

I think Stokes said something along the lines of ‘we don’t care about winning, we’re care about entertaining’… said like a loser… If we manage a win or a draw in this test I can say I will have been thoroughly entertained by Aussies playing test cricket and the Poms losing by doing whatever it is they think they are doing…

They have mostly had the better conditions, good assistance from ball tracker, a lot of luck and our performances have been patchy. With all that going for them they are still trailing in the series 2-1. If it isn't about winning then why are they whinging? A win for us in this test will shut them up. For us, we need to start working some young players into the team. Warner is past it, Smithy could retire at anytime, Hazelwood, Starc and Lyon have bowled a lot of balls over the years. It will be great if Murphy has an impact this game and I hope we find a couple of good quicks, ideally a superfast demon bowler and an accurate seam bowler.

Sure $1 million per year is good money, but is it worth it? Life is short, you will die end up it hell, and I don't need to tell you it will be Melb.

Disembarkation from front and rearward doors… oh no.. sorry… front doors only… Airline people are Pollies in training.. they are dead set trained to lie to make you feel better… We’ll be descending in 15 mins… 25 mins later… We apologise for this or that… my fav 2 things to nought were 1. gate change today… the LED signs sprouting ‘relax, Im gate info in 10 mins’… 2 mins later ‘boarding gate 5436, 10 min walk’… 2. Virtue signalling in the plane ‘some passengers may be wearing masks and we thank them’…. The the reminder, ‘if oxygen is required and you are wearing a mask, please remove mask before applying oxygen’…. only people who are dumb enough to still be wearing masks need that advice.:.

A knights win today will see the flat trackers tumble to 10th… Any self respecting Dogs fan is cheering the knights home today… The flat trackers have Dragons, Broncs, Rorters, Panfers, bye… They are now relying on other teams losing and winning most of those games… Would be great if the Scum miss the eight… Even though the Mock will use them missing the eight as a weird opportunity to have a crack at Burto…
Last year was the exception to the flat track rule…

That may well be the case… doesn’t change the fact you’d use it as an opportunity to have a crack at Burto… On the other side of the coin is you’d be first to state how right you were about the $6M man if they were to win a comp… which they can’t… Your $6M mate has a terrible finals and big game record… if they did manage to sneak it it would be all for nothing anyway… Finals 33% wins Origin 33% wins World Cup 37% wins If I’m shelling out $1.2M a year for a 10 year veteran half I ain’t doing it for a 1 in 3 strike rate in big games… Last year was a fluke at best or more likely all Gutho and Brown…

Moses, Hunt, DCE, Cleary, Munster etc might all be on 1M or 1.2M, but they perform well every couple of games. Burton might be on 75% of their salary but he performs once in 6 games. Hardly a value return is it?

You say Burton is not on around 75% of the 1M-1.2M of the others....what is he on then? Less than 700k? My point is, if you look at his individual performances, they don't stack up well against these other guys...and even if you take their higher salaries into account, I believe he is still underperforming.

Only a dipstick with a Narcissus complex would continually bag the team he is supposed to support. A big of encouragement never went astray. We are not in the position we are in because of Burton. We are simply not able to compete with the grunt of the stronger teams. It is not rocket science. We also now have a half decent half back, at least evidence suggests that is the case so onward and upward and a little less hating players.

+x+x+x+x+x+x+x+x+x+xErrr did I hear someone say Flat Track Bullies… $6M bwahahahahahhahahahahhahahha…. Don't worry. He'll bounce back next week. Which will be 5 games sooner than Burton Ooh, do I detect a little twist of the knife just there. A true Dogs fan enjoys a Parra loss and despises every Parra player. What did flat tracker actually do in that game? No much. I hope we have a Dogs win with Burto staring and MOM.... Old man Bennett is very unhappy with the Mock.
Last year was the exception to the flat track rule… I'd be cheering if the eels miss the 8.... That may well be the case… doesn’t change the fact you’d use it as an opportunity to have a crack at Burto… On the other side of the coin is you’d be first to state how right you were about the $6M man if they were to win a comp… which they can’t… Your $6M mate has a terrible finals and big game record… if they did manage to sneak it it would be all for nothing anyway… Finals 33% wins Origin 33% wins World Cup 37% wins If I’m shelling out $1.2M a year for a 10 year veteran half I ain’t doing it for a 1 in 3 strike rate in big games… Last year was a fluke at best or more likely all Gutho and Brown… If you're gonna look at the statistics, heres one for you.... Moses, Hunt, DCE, Cleary, Munster etc might all be on 1M or 1.2M, but they perform well every couple of games. Burton might be on 75% of their salary but he performs once in 6 games. Hardly a value return is it? See… the thing u don’t get is…a dogs supporter having a crack at Parras poor choices, the $6M man, and his deluded supporters does not necessitate a retort that bags the bulldogs 5/8…. Moses being a flat track bully and poor value for money has zero to do with Burto… And despite whatever you’re now trying to say… my point still stands… Moses is a flat track bully at very best… ‘Performing well’ ‘every couple of games’ ‘value for money’ is both subjective and conveniently vague… And with the exception of Hunt, all those blokes wins conp.. or two… and all those blokes have several years under their belt… and all those blokes have performed well in Teams with packs that gave them half a chance… And… No way Burto is on 75% of their salaries… The reason I brought all those other players in the conversation is to not make it about Moses and Parra. You say Burton is not on around 75% of the 1M-1.2M of the others....what is he on then? Less than 700k? My point is, if you look at his individual performances, they don't stack up well against these other guys...and even if you take their higher salaries into account, I believe he is still underperforming. Moses on $1.2 a year compared to Burto on 850 a year. I personally would take Burto every day if the week. Especially when you consider that Moses has had a lot more time to win a comp and gas failed to do so. Burto already has one and I’m quietly confident he will win another in the time he has left. At least much more confident than Moses winning one.
I think it’s only fair to compare Burto to other 5/8’s in the game. Not halfbacks. He clearly is one of the best and is much younger than most.
You need to understand we are paying Burto on potential. And most of the top minds in the game believe he is going to be very, very good in the future.

We need to find a way to stop giving away so many. It’s all about better contact in the tackle. Liam Knight and Kiks already have shown what we have been missing. They both hit hard and and stick. We desperately need more forwards like that.
It’s nice to see Mahoney smashing them too.
