Most of the players I want are not off contract....
Off Contract players I would sign are:- Kurt Capewell, Bevan French?, Billy Brittain, Jai Field?, Steven Marsters?, Corey Thompson. ? not 100% sure on these blokes would sign at least one of them to add some pace to our side.
Also Scott DrinkWater, should he become available.
So you might say slim pickings, in terms of quality players we recognise who are currently off contract.
We also need to look at the various lower grade comps for talent.....
in terms of who I really want to get, Connor Watson, ( Daniel & Jocob Saifiti, or David Fafita), Katoni Staggs, Corey Oates, Jack Wighton, Joseph Tapine, Bronson Xerri, Jai Arrow, Ken Maumalo, Dale Finucane, Luke Brooks.
Players on this list are worth the big dollars if we can get them.

Hahaha..... Lachlan Lewis has been quoted as saying that Dean Pay asked him to work on his ‘Defence & cut out his errors’ in Reggies
WTF????
Work on his defence..... Lewis is probably the best Halves defender in the NRL. He not the best in Attack, but in defence he’s a champion.

I still can't accept to no action stance by the NRL in the Segeyaro unregistered player fiasco. Way back in, I think 2009, we lost the points against Penrith for having no an extra player on the field. Even Penrith said it had no bearing on the result. We had a player down injured. Common denominator; Graham Annesley was the NRl chief operating officer. Go figure that one out

+x+x+xBuzz Rothfield reporting that James Roberts contract submitted by Souths to the NRL for the remainder of 2019 is only $119k. Contract for 2020 is worth $400k Thats a bloody bargain.... Why did we not submit an offer? Probably because we didn't have GI retire...... I don't know how much cash we had.... On the surface $119K does not look like much, maybe there is a TPA, maybe he only wanted to go do Souths, maybe he heard Dman plays guitar in the sheds before games... HD..... $400k for 2020 for an Origin Player that possesses plenty of Speed, Aggression & wants to score a truckload of tries is a bargain! If our idiots thought Mbye was worth over $750k a season at Belmore.... then $400k for Roberts is a bloody steal People will play for Bennett for unders.... Yep, with the average salary for top 30 players being 310k, the 400k is certainly a steal. The guy possesses speed. Speed wins you games on it's own about 2 or 3 games a season. I'm talking arm wrestles here that are busted by a last minute 90m dash. Its certainly something we need as we only have Reimis Smith who can go that distance and not get caught. I can only assume (or hope) we have someone else in mind to not have a go or not push that price up. Maybe we are getting Latrell?

I would agree with you if he was on 600k, but at 400k, the 1 or 2 games he wins for you on his own are just about worth it. It takes the right coach and environment to get the best our of him. Really fans are asking why don't we rush in to high risk decisions, because we are desperate? One answer is this season is beyond window dressing, and next season is vital, forget this season, get it right for next season... Roberts going off the rails at our club before June 2020, isn't getting it right... Roberts himself probably knows he needs the right coach and the right environment. And look on the bright side, you will not need to wait long for something else to whinge about...

I don't usually accuse the Opposition of not tackling ... but ..... 14. Fa’amanu Brown Club: Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs; 2019 TOTW selections: 1 One try, two line-breaks, seven tackle-breaks, 90 total metres, 16 tackles.

The thing I don't get is why the fvck is this footage released by the cops???... How does it help anything???... Convicted Pedos have more protection... Same re Dylan Walker interview video in his private home... Are all domestic violence videos released by the cops???... Do they have a YouTube channel???... Releasing private footage is completely wrong...

Speaking of turds...Bill Shorten certainly hasn't read any quotes of Harry S Truman as the most famous one..."the buck stops here" would certainly apply to Labor's loss at the election."The buck stops with me due my stilted over-rehearsed style"..In that same stilted over rehearsed style he blames ever man and his dog.

Your man won Steve. No more need for an Op Ed. I am not a Shorten man but really his style of speaking, so what? What he said today had a grain of truth, News Ltd, Sky News, Hadley, Jones etc, plus a few so called wealth managers. Not including the $60 million of Clive Palmer. Are we getting to the US style where money buys power?

It will be a bumpy ride. You need to accept the fact that to rise to the top you need to take risks and accept that you drop some rungs as you climb that ladder. Recruiting someone like Segeyaro or Robert's is important as those kind of players possess something we dony have yet something we desperately need (x factor at dummy half and speed). We can sit on our haunches and hope to convert the next big thing but let's face it, other than SBW, Thurston, Barba and Cook, who exactly have we produced that had been a standout? Exactly. We need to take small risks and accept some consequences. You will have to be deluded to think that even these players will be part of our next tilt at the premiership. All they are, are a change in the way we play. We need it.
