+xWhat I was saying is Bellamy's reserve grade side is a great place too look for talent. They recruit top talent and prepare the players well. Anyway you might be right thst I am overstating things I hate being on the bottom of the table, so I am looking for a quick fix. Don't apologise for being right. dman is just jealous because he isn't a scout.

I'm about to drop this topic as I am deeply concerned about BDP cred .. ha ha ... or really I don't want to bore everyone Grant and Brittan when head to head in the residents match I called that a tie... Both a very dominant in reserve grade ... but Grant sets up tries in a variety of different ways.. some of which I have never seen before... admittedly the opposition was crap.... but the thinking and skill level was impressive.

+x+x+xOnly saw the cricket highlights, but it looked like a good game. Great battling fight back by the Aussies. Pleased to see West Indies seem to be back as a force. Nothing more exciting that good fast bowling. There are a few batsmen who may disagree with that. Never seen so many challenges upheld. Couter Nyle's score was about twice his best ever first class or one day score...great stuff The umpiring in the second innings was a bad as I've ever seen, including u12's.,, Highlights how the DRS is being used as a crutch for umpires, with the 'umpires call' saving umpires not players... CN was the highest score for an Aussie, a second highest score by a #8 in a WC apparently... With the 2 top scores coming at the same ground... The Boss became the 3rd Windie to reach 1000 WC runs... The use of technology as a prop has reached a ridiculous level. This is especially so in the NRL. The ability and willingness to make a decision should be a KPI for referees. At the moment all they do is offer an opinion. There appears to be no confidence in the competency of the touch judges. It slows the game thereby creating a advantage or disadvantage depending on which team you follow. Having said that I don't mind using technology where it is necessary.

Dane Gagai is just about my favourite player these days, absolute professional, 110% every play. The sorta player you build team... club... cultures around. I'd pay overs for Dane Gagai, because he could fill every position from 1-5, at a pinch even 6, double pinch even 13 - and any of them either side of the field and any of them he'd do with 110% professional commitment because it's what's asked of him.
Yeah, he's contracted to Souths till the end of '21, but like I said he's just about my favourite player, and I'd pay overs to shift him.
He's a winner, he brings winning.

I like what Ricky Stewart said when recruiting players, he looks for players who are winners.. One interesting stat would be win percentage in all grades, OK a player could be unlucky an play in a lot of crap teams, so you might want to allow for that... look at win percentage with and without that player.. Just seem to me winners play in teams that win more often..... I'm not sure stats on that are readily available,. Even a good player that plays in a lot of losing teams, must develop some bad habits... or have excellent self control.

I am also thinking the next few signings are critical, or we want to save money for when we make our move.
I expect to play overs for the first few players, just because we have to give them a reason to come here.
Once we have a few key players it helps get other players... Newcastle did this exceptionally well .. Kevin Moore did an OK job.
Like all things there is no simple template you can follow, sometimes you get what you pay for.... were we are it is tricky...

I guess that is what you call big news... One time when copy paste "to avoid hours deciphering the post" is warranted. After Wednesday night and most of Thursday and into early Friday morning, I could not talk. Shouting Queenslander became "Q" then the lights went OUT. But now: QUEENSLANDER !!!!!! We may or may not win the series but at least our chant does not sound borrowed from the U S A. Chanting New South Wales like the Yanks chant U S A sounds shit... aye aye yippee yippee aye, there is a Grammy award song! Anyway a Doggies win will need a bigger celebration! So pumped for a Bulldogs thrashing of the stupid fictional reptiles! Thanks for the update on zWd BiG t. Also RIP Ruben Scott a little bloke from FNQ who passed away after going missing in the western cape. Like all young deaths: Tragic and sad that they never get to experience life that we all take for granted.

But Hoppa is too slow for fullback, will concede tries from kicks if the opposition kicker is good.

+xHaha this take is embarrassing. He plays great for QLD. Ask Newcastle and Souths fans what they think about him. You are seriously f***in' joking right? I only watched a couple of nights ago Matty Johns raving about just how much Dane Gagai meant to Newcastle both from where they came from to where they are now 2 years after he left - changed the f***in' club. And what Souths fans would think of him?!?!?! What do you think Souths fans would think of him? I never did notice you around this place now I know why.

+xHow about hounddog 2 fullback steves wr to halfback marki 2 centre nancy to bring the buck of burbon ahhhh BT did I not say I'm a champion fullback in the Billy Slater mould? I can fill in admirably at centre but fullback is my preferred position and if I dont play there I might kick up a stink and ask for a release!

So many of our guys have less than 30 games under their belt... We gotsta give them time... The main target should be the best possible coach who can get the best outta the guys we got, and can attract a couple of guns...

+xAdian seizer = perfect fix for the bulldogs Good kicking game good goal kicker had 3 years in him @ 30 years of age wants 2 come back to the dogs canberra cant garrantee him a start but his last 2 games been excellent No, mediocre. Last two games "excellent" you say. Pity about the last 5 years then. You don't rebuild a roster with mediocrity in your play makers. As of Nov this year, we can start making offers, serious, serious, offers to players for '21. Serious enough that we could offer marquee money for the right player for '21, and that serious money could be for a serious play-maker. So start looking at your list of serious play makers off contract for '21 and if you can't find anyone more serious than Aden Seizer then that means it must be armageddon.
