Only a team like the Dogs can turn an unwanted scrap heap of a player in Manly’s Lachlan Croker & turn him into Wally Lewis in the space of 80mins!

What a horrendous footy team we are.... Dean Pay is so out of touch with coaching it’s not funny!

Not wrong villi
don’t worry bryce Goodwin will be our saviour from
the heavens above our new recruits prfff
34 year old washed up back

Yes we are so out of touch with the new rules. Let's be honest Manly did have 68% of the ball and you can't win if you are defending all game, but what disappointed me the most is when we did get the ball some d!ckhead always found a way to gift it back to them. As I posted earlier, I think this may be Deanos last season with the Dogs and maybe a few players may be out the door with him.

It's disappointing to see the way the game has been bastardisation.  A scrum sets, the team needs points, half and fullback pack into the second row.  One pass off the scrum to a forward, Jackson, tackled.  All because forwards don't have to play as forwards and push in the scrum.  We could learn a lot from union about passing movements.

This shitty gamestyle....it gives nothing to the fans to hold in there till we can turn a corner and buy some decent first graders whom we can build a good team around.

We all know we wont have a good team for another 2 - 3 years. But after already a poor 3 - 4 seasons our patience is exhausted.

I'd much rather have a team that is rivals and diamonds rather than just complete garbage. I'd rather have a team that wins by 30 one week and gets done by 40 the next. At least then we can hope we get the diamond on the day.

As it is now, I feel we are fekked before we even take the field. There is no worse feeling than not having any hope. No worse feeling.

Mdog, remember in 2005 when they tweeked the game to speed it up and the Tigpies won the comp because the touch footy style suited them. I think the V'man is trying the same stunt. It will fail because people will miss the big hits.

Looking at the videos, our passing coach knows what he is doing, but our spine players don't throw good accurate passes.

Watch how Harry Grant passes for the Tigers, and how players run on to his passes.

We rarely have a dummy half or half, put a player over the advantage line.

DWZ is too slow for fullback, Smith looks ordinary in the centres, appart from anything else Pay is picking the wrong players and playing players in the wrong positions....

I don't think our squad is that bad, but it is time to try some talented young players.

Tolman starting instead of Toomaga is another dumb idea. Tolman should be lock or coming off the bench. Maybe Sue should even start instead of Napa.

Britt made a few dumb errors, but he also does some good things, if we have more direction players will stop forcing the play.

Every other team plays modern footy with no problems.

Villi, you must remember that DWZ is a centre. Just like Latrel Mitchell he wanted to be a FB but is not a fullbacks ar$ehole. Pay needs to grow some balls, lay the law down to everyone and tell them what position they are playing and if they dont like it they can sit on the sideline. We need Meaney back at No1, Lewis as far away from the halves as he can be put and Tolman warned to stay the fvck out of the attacking line after tackle 2.

That guy isn't the problem.... bad team selection is the primary problem.

Meaney or Averillo should be fullback.
When we don't have Foran, Wakeham and possibly  Averillo should be the halves.

Cogger and Lewis are not first choice NRL halves.

We need forwards that run hard, especially at prop.

Exactly ODF, DWZ at fullback was always a dumb idea, but he is a great centre or winger.

Meaney is a fullback or a reserve grader.

Cogger or Lewis might make a good 9/14, Lewis might make good lock.

JMK is a marginal 9 at best.

There is  a good chance Pay hasn't got a single spine position right.

Smith and Tolman also seem to be in the wrong positions or roles.

If we keep picking guys who are not up to the task in key positions, that is a receipe for no improvement.

It won't because of the way the role of forwards and scrums have changed.  We also have a head coach calling the tune.

I am sure you all saw the same thing, did you notice that when Avarillo came on he knew exactly where to be when Lewis put that chip kick in. Young Jake is a natural at reading the game and I wouldn't be surprised if he is named our next captain.

That is called class ODF.

I am not sure about Averillo's defence but Wakeham is a good defender.

With Wakeham and Averillo in the havles we would at least be worth watching.

Ours was the only game I didn't enjoy, it was barely a contest, the result was never in doubt, and we were most unlikely to create a slick entertaining try. Even a neutral would probably conclude we are not worth watching.

With the new rules grinding out a low scoring win is most unlikely and less likely when the team doesn't defend well.

I was just looking at the social media site Farcebook and they are all going off over there. It's a bit unfair blaming the entire team for the abysmal performance tonight. Firstly, Manly had a greater percentage of possession which made it much easier for them the get it all together. Admittedly it was our fault that they got that advantage through poor ball security, and as we were getting gassed, fatigue forced us to make poor decisions escalating our situation from bad to sh!thouse. Our biggest problem (which has already been identified) is that the coach has been selecting the wrong players and playing players out of position and he doesn't seem be be learning anything from his mistakes. Where we go from here is out of our hands as we are only mug supporters and our expert opinion means jack schitt.

If I was Bateman I wouldn't come to us for a million bucks.  If he comes it will only be for the money.  We don't have anything else to offer.  I don't know where that would end up.  We need to get our act together quick smart or we'll just tread water.

Was hoping to hear Pay use the loss of Elliott as an excuse during his presser.... but I’m sure he would have heard that the Knights played what 70mins without their Capt & halfback in Pearce while they also lost their starting No.9 too and still managed a draw against a near full strength Panthers team.

Tex Hoy, Randall and that Dragons reject Kurt Mann.... along with a coach that’s 2 games into his career fought out a draw yesterday that was bloody inspirational!!

Dean can’t use this stupid excuse about youth, kids etc anymore.... the guys either have it or don’t have it, or he can’t clearly coach the best out of his group of players.... again I love Pay the player, but not as a 1st grade coach who’s into his 3rd year!

I like your idea of Anthony Griffin.
I'm confident he would turn around the gamestyle and fix the roster.

And after being shafted, he is also now galvanised to not be influenced by the board.
